Re: Roland JX3P MIDI issue

Ok, to be honest i´ve never even heard of a MIDI snooper. Will check it out. Seems strange to me that i haven´t seen anyone with the same clock issues with the external drum machines. Will do some investgating and i´ll post results once i get them. Thanks for your help.

Re: Roland JX3P MIDI issue

Just to update, I´ve reinstalled the original OS in the MPC2500, i had the JJOS 3.10. Now playing the JX3P there are no problems regarding MIDI. So i´m delighted. However, i fix one problem and another old one reappears. The reason i updated to JJOS 3.10 from the old OS in the MPC is because on hitt...

Re: Roland JX3P MIDI issue

Thanks for the quick reply. I´m not 100% sure if i get you though. I mean, if i record the chord from start to finish of the sequence i can see the duration of the chord from viewing the values. I never keep pressing the keys when it loops back again to the start. I make sure it has some bit of time...

Roland JX3P MIDI issue

HI, i´ver tried everything i can think of and read the manual inside out but i can´t get to the bottom of this problem. Basically, when i record let´s say a pad sound from the JX3P via the MPC2500 sequencer it plays fine from PLAY START on the MPC. The thing is when the sequence comes to the end of ...

MPC 2500 not triggering ext drum machines in time

Hi, i´ve looked long and hard but can´t seem to find an answer to my particular problem. Basically, i trigger my external drum machines (TR606, 707, Electribe) by send the MIDI OUT from my MPC to the drum machines (the 606 being triggered using the DIN Sync sent from the Novation Bass Station), i ha...

If it´s a case of hearing crackles and sporadic noise, what´s it most likely to be? On mine during test mode, every third note emits noise.

Re: Korg Poly 800 re-programming

Hi, i had to reload the patches on my P800 using the headphones out of my laptop. It took me about 5 or 6 attempts before it worked properly. It is very sensitive to the level that it receives the .wav file. I started sending it at 100% volume and every time it didn´t work i dropped the volume by 5%...

Re: DX7 - Data Slider fluctuating values??

Hi all, just like to say, after opening up the DX, i sprayed some alcohol on the fader and moved it up and down for about 2 or 3 minutes. Didn´t make any difference...but after coming back down to studio after a couple of hours, she´s back working perfectly again!! Hopefully it will behave itself bu...

Re: DX7 - Data Slider fluctuating values??

Clyde, would swapping the volume for the data entry slider work? Would i still be able to increase the data values one by one? You mentioned one being log and the other linear but that´s where i get lost...

DX7 - Data Slider fluctuating values??

I´ve searched and searched and can´t find info about problems i´m having with my DX7 data entry slider. When i move it up to around half way the value (0 - 127) starts fluctuating so it´s hard to edit parameters. I´ve tried moving the slider up and down very fast and spraying component cleaner on it...

Re: Computerless live rig

Balma, that video for me is how a "live" act should be when an artist is down on a poster to play a live act. Sure beats the s**t out of watching someone leaning their chin on their hand and not moving form the same spot for an hour. Nice one, well done. Sounded kicking as well!
