I checked it out. Now following you on soundcloud. I'm at the end of my day here but I'll be back to check out more of your stuff in the near future. Enjoying the screwed cassette dubs.
Cheers.

Anyway, it's good to see Dora the explorer is still keeping busy.

New Synth Build Quality
So I'm wondering who's doing it right these days. I'm not a collector or an expert and have sold a lot of my old stuff because I didn't want to risk bringing them to jam sessions anymore. Also, since vintage stuff has kept getting more expensive, I've made my money off the stuff I wasn't attached to...

Quite a choice video you've made! Also the first time I saw someone getting a swirlie in a music video.

That pretty much holds true for every synth I like; every old one at least.Sir Ruff wrote:...and stupidly over-priced given how little they used to go for and what they do. But, I guess you're ok with thatgeeksarecool wrote:Really nice machines.

Re: Wow..Just got a VCS 3
you just reminded me of that auction. I hope you're not in that range. I don't know what the two synths go for comparatively, but at least the seller seems to offer free shipping.
Sorry. I tried to copy the e-Bay link to here but couldn't get it sorted out.

If Ashley MacIsaac is still working with Phillip Glass, I'd be interested in seeing them live.

Re: The great official thread of the Prophet-5
Pillip Glass is a true genius. I should look up more of his stuff. About ten years ago I got a CD that included some stuff from Einstien on the beach, and some other stuff done in Sanskrit or something. After watching this I can't help but wonder if he was the inspiration for Sideshow Bob.

Re: patch cable h**l
Although I may in the future, I haven't used a patch bay as yet. My set up is always changing so I don't know from one day to the next what any particular cable will be used for. I put a small label on the ends of each cable so I don't get them mixed up. I also spend more money than I think I will n...

Re: Synth sadness: overworked and underplayed.
I usually do 12 hour days most of the week, and in the winter you don't see the light of day except on your days off. The real problem for me is that I don't have any space to leave my stuff set up, (and I don't even have a lot of gear). If I really want to have everything ready to go, I have to tak...

Re: Prophet 600 VS Juno 60
With a 106 you're out of luck in that department. To do one finger chords on the 60, play a chord and press the hold button. With the chord now being sustained press and hold down the key transpose button. You can now play one finger chords with your free hand while you have transpose held down. You...

Re: Your Rig---but 20 Years Ago
20 years ago I started out with an SG copy which I strung lefty. I then found a Gibson RD standard bass, and ended up trading my lefty strat to a buddy for his Thunderbird. It has been my favourite instrument to this day. I didn't end up getting into synths until 1996 when I bought a Mini-D 'cause I...

Re: Prophet 600 VS Juno 60
we have beautiful examples of both in stock right now. personally, i prefer to p600 since its got more features (oscillator sync, 2 oscillators, 1 finger chord, poly mod). the juno-60 is a bit tighter and responds better to realtime knob movement and i feel sound quality is a little better, but wou...
