Don't know the clip, but Mark Isham doesn't get mentioned enough. He has a buchla modular he posts jams on instagram with. Really could be anything, and likely isn't a preset.
Fun fact, he also played trumpet for David Sylvian of Japan.

Re: Effects Pedals - Connect To Mixer?
A better option with looper pedals and mixers is something like a Mackie 1202. Having the ability to hit a switch and send a channel to a bus is way better than using the Aux sends with a looper. Use aux sends for other FX. On the 1202 I connect the looper (I use a pigtronix infinity) by sending Alt...

Re: changing sustain pedal polarity
It's not elegant, but I have a yamaha sustain that I simply opened up and reversed the mechanism. It hasn't had an issue since but obviously I can't recommend that unless you are into ghetto hacks.

Did you search the forum. There have been a number of Dw8000 fixes and threads. I'd start there.

Re: Korg Electribe S (ES-1) Firmware and Factory Sounds
Seems that the old electribes have been abandoned by Korg, but there is one dude who seems very knowledgeable about the chip itself. http://electribe.cc/wp/about/ . Currently there is only an OS upgrade for the Er1. Perhaps he will open things up to the ES1.

Re: Ensoniq EPS sampling pitch problem..??
No idea what that "repair shop" is talking about. Granted, I've only had the EPS-16, and ASR. Neither of those have any weird pitch issues. What you sample is what you get. Sample rate has nothing to do with the pitch of the sample, but only effects the quality. I'd first check to be sure your defau...

Check the voltage regulators. They could be fried, which has happened to mine in the past.

Re: Vintage synths, are they really worth it?
I will always say no in today's over saturated market, but I will also point out that there will never be an accurate modern equivalent of the Maxikorg 800dv. Vintage is great for those super rare "unicorn" type synths that fly under the radar. The prices for vintage Roland polysynths is 80% trend a...

Volca Dreams (Volca Beats and Volca Keys) Dark ambient performance
Uploaded a new performance with my favorite minimal combo. 2 cheap behringer pedals and 2 volcas is all you need to create some really evocative music. Check it out!

Weren't all the composers using Roland S760 samplers at that time? I know for sure the Zimmer camp was using stacks of them.

Re: Korg vs Behringer Odyssey
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXpxwQgiP6Q&vl=en This dude seems to now work for Behringer, but if the final version materializes like his demo, I'd say it wins in most respects. The Karp is excellent though, and the sound is dead on. I ultimately sold mine off to fund my dream synth, an Octave Cat.
