Look at the label without looking at the bottle, if you can. If it's any consolation, it took me a few minutes to see the bottle when you said what it was.

Re: Waldorf Largo

Well, assuming it sounds as it should and is appropriately priced, sign me up. :)

Edit: The internet says $250. Not sure where the person got the price from, but that sounds about right. I'd have to at least hear some audio demos first.

Reaper is only $50 for non-commercial use and should allow what you're asking about. Someone might know of a better solution, though.

Re: Alchemy!

Looks pretty sweet. I could get it for $125 as well...I think I'm going to have to wait for the demo, though. That and I just threw $250 at NI's Battery and a PadKontrol (Nova Musik had a package deal and I should get $50 back from PayPal at the end of the month because I bought it through NM's eBay...

I'll most certainly be thinking about it. Unfortunately, the Euro to Dollar exchange rate is working against me something hardcore, so I can't quite commit yet. :(

Re: omnisphere-soft synth of the gods?

man it really sounds great for a softsynth. seems to sound as good as many other digital synths, to bad its such a cpu/ram/space hog. if they made a hardware of this it would be tight You know, a hardware Omnisphere operating off a powerful DSP with a 64GB SSD to load the samples from doesn't sound...

Re: Microkorg XL

Ditto. I keep thinking that I should just buy one and use it as a module. But that seems like a waste. That's a ridiculous comment. You could get the MS2000 is you wanted a full sized version so badly. The rack versions don't go for very much anymore, either. You could get one for not much more tha...

Re: Microkorg XL

It sounds like the bastard child of...erm...every single one of Korg's recent products! Form-factor of the MicroKorg, sounds from the R3/Radias (MMT) and the Triton/X50/etc. (PCM), effects from the Kaoss Pads...

But which parent will it inherit its price from?

Re: Say you were in a plan crash...

This whole question sort of read like... "Your on a desert island, only have one instrument, and have to record an entire album. You can have only ONE of the following: A Bass guitar (liken this to the TB) A drum kit (liken this to the 808) Or a workstation synth (liken this to the EMX) Which one i...

Isn't that knob part of the MicroKorg charm at this point? I mean, wouldn't you guys miss it if it were gone? :)

Re: omnisphere-soft synth of the gods?

I've read that it's apparently a massive CPU and RAM hog. Opinions seem to be split over whether the sound is worth the money/space/CPU or not.

Re: MOVE OVER YAMAHA QY....

It's quite nice, but a QY would cost me quite a bit less. Not to mention a netbook with similar software. Edit: Such as this, from the same people: http://createdigitalmusic.com/2008/11/26/indamixx-laptop-is-first-pre-configured-music-netbook-running-linux-499/ I'm not sure what the value of it woul...

Re: Microkorg XL

Hmmm, I think putting a VA and a Rompler into the one cheap synth is a brilliant marketing idea, Korg are gonna sell tonnes of these. It's perfect for the people who want a first synth that has USB midi, cool synth sounds like the Killers and piano and string sounds. :D That is what that paragraph ...
