Re: The great thread of electronic/synthesizer soundtracks
The Tangerine Dream Pilots of Purple Twilight box is just on sale and contains the soundtrack of The Soldier. Many very good sequences, some taken from the album Poland but some seem to be taken from the time of Phaedra, you can even hear that they tune the big moog. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

Re: Ensoniq VFX SD sequencer OS
Hi...a bit of a non techie. I have a 1990 VFX SD, that says I need to load the synth software. I tried loading from the ensoniq disk I have O.S. Version 2.0 (for use wirth VFX-SD version II) that I got with the new machine, and it tells me no files found. I assume my disk has been erased, corrupted...

Re: Ensoniq VFX SD sequencer OS
Hey Rasputín, how you been doing? As you can read above I own a VFX SD and I again lost the sequencer from it, but the bad thing is that my sequencer disc Is corrupted! You posted the sequencer os Image above, but my question is, can I transmit the sequencer os directly to the VFX vía midi system ex...

EMAX sequencer
Perhaps it’s totally irrelevant to many, but for those who are interested I share that I have been experimenting a lot with the sequencer of my Emax and discovered, very good and useful functions within the limitations that it has. The first very important function is that the sequences can be joine...

Re: Synthesizers with awesome arpeggiators
Maybe not awesome, but I like the arps in the Moog Source, it’s more like a step sequencer and its easy to sync with external gear and I also like the arp of the Prophet 600, because you can set the arp and then play live on top of it.

Re: Neil Peart Dead
Terrible news. Peart was the greatest drummer in the world and an awesome human being. He never stopped to experiment, and the mid 80’s period was amazing in how he used electronics in his drum set. An innovator without a doubt. I’m ver sorry.

Re: Best synth basslines of all time?
This one, period: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srdlyhdZNd4 Stephen I agree with you. A little OT, have you heard the concerts of the new Tangerine Dream boxset? I thought I have heard all with Rubycon, Ricochet, Encore, and the Bootleg collection I, but oh boy . . .. there are some amazing out-o...

Re: Is Volca Beats/Bass/Keys/FM and D-05 good?
Consider switching the volca beats for the volca sample, a lot, lot better for making better and more complex beats. I have the D05, volca keys and sample, and they are all great machines. Used to have the volca beats, but i sold it since i have the V Sample which is simply amazing for making beats.

Re: Arturia BSP/Moog Source?
For those who are interested, I could already make the arpeggiator of The Source work in sync with the Beatstep Pro. The sync out of the BSP must be connected to the sync in of the Source and the output of a trigger of the BSP analog battery sequencer, must also be connected to the input "reset in" ...

Re: Arturia BSP/Moog Source?
I haven´t had the time to make the cables to control the Source with the Beatstep Pro via CV, but yesterday I tried to synchronize both machines through the clock output of the BSP to the DIN Syn of the Moog and the result is that the sync works partially with the Moog sequencer and not with the arp...

Re: Arturia BSP/Moog Source?
Are you having trouble soldering those mini jack plugs?? If so, just get an RCA to 3.5mm mono adapter such as this one: https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTyao7ZOGEPP2ZWADdp3SBviK_YoPe_mldsDSKNcPMdb1nDTEWGww Because those are much more practical than the chunky 6.35 to 3.5 mm ada...

Re: Arturia BSP/Moog Source?
Thank you very much man! looking forward to run a setup with the BSP, hope it can fulfill my expectations. For the sequences I mainly use an Alesis MMt-8 and a Roland MC50 or the sequencer of the VFX sd which are awesome, but those three machines are now kind of faulty, so I was thinking buying an M...
