Finally. Looks really cool and the mp3 examples sound great!

Does anybody know, is it 3 rack units high? I would like to see a better pic of the front panel to know exactly what jacks and routings are available.

I see now, the specs page just got updated since last night. It's 4 rack units high.

To be honest, my favorite snares on the Machinedrum come from the white noise. Just white noise with different filtering, distortion, reverb, LFOs, etc applied. I'm not sure if the noise machine is an option without the UW. Is it? **EDIT: I just remembered, the white noise is part of the "GND Machin...

So how can the MPC have been so "revolutionary" in hip hop if everyones using different samples? I always thought it was kind of like an 808 where it has a distinct sound. Guess not. The MPC60 does have a distinct sound. Samples that are played through it sound different than the original, and it h...

I am very excited about this news. You should put a page up somewhere so we don't have to weed through this unwieldy thread to find specs.

Somebody should bring one to the analog gathering in Oakland on September 9th.

Sorry to sidetrack the thread a little. Regarding the Bode FS, AS makes theirs and there is also one available from COTK. Modcan's FS is not a Bode design but some say it's superior. The Encore Electronics FS is the least expensive (by far) and is a digital hybrid module.

Did I just read that right? $50??? Wow, that's the deal of the century. It has a 15V PSU too, you can always add more more modern modles to it. That thing looks like it was built with love. f**k BODE FS!! I can't believe it. That guy was some old synth genius that just went nuts. You've been blessed.

The Resonator sounds great. Moogerfoogers are nice. The Sherman can sound clean, but it's easier and more fun to make it sound dirty. Mutator uses a SSM2045 filter chip. Smooth sound. The Sebatron Copernicus never got any press. I wonder if that one sounds good? All these boxes are very nice, but I ...

I sequenced mine with an Akai MPC. Any software sequencer will do fine though. There are probably lots of free software MIDI sequencers out there.

They are so cheap for the sound you get that you really can't go wrong. The disk drive isn't necessary, I don't have one.

I wonder how the old hacks did this when they made these great songs. No multitrack recording. Maybe the song is just a long stream of assembly code being jammed into the game code? Naaah..I would assume they didn't let the computer coding get in the way of their own creativity... The truly amazing...

And the SID is 4 notes multitimbral? Because most of the SID songs I have are 3-4 parts all at once. Bassline, blippy sequence, drumtrack, lead. If they are not input as tracker files, how did they compose it and play it back? Or is it really just one voice and a multiplexing technique that works s...

Nice! It's good to see others appreciating the original masters, and crediting them. (Of the "Last Ninja" music, I like Reyn Ouwehand's soundtrack to "Last Ninja 3" the best.)

That sounds good. There really aren't any deals like that around anymore. People are starting to respect the old synths for what they are worth. I mean, a Little Phatty will cost you around $1000, and that's a very basic mono. This has a sequencer, lots of very cool modulation routings, and way more...
