Re: What is fm synthesis like on other synths (non yamaha dx
I have the Korg 707 witch is a FM synth. It sounds thin and in my opinion similar do the DX21 (i also one one of those). Korg had a bit different approach to the editing of the parameters then the DX series, but the sound range is about the same.

Re: Roland GAIA Editor--end of free software?
i have a free Tetra editor mac/pc vst/au in my ctlrr project. though no librarian functionality yet, the editor is fully functional. From what people been telling me all those soundtower products are not very useful for them. And i agree i would never pay for a software editor for a hardware synthes...

Re: Roland GAIA Editor--end of free software?
Well i don't have the A6 but form what i've been reading in the manual it's not that big of a problem. The buffer problem you talk about is not a big problem i imagine, there are at least two ways to go around it. But i don't want to speak before i get something usable. Like i wrote i'll soon get to...

Re: Roland GAIA Editor--end of free software?
What's the buffer hitch in the A6, i wen around the midi buffer errors already, cause all the 80s didgital synths (DX, CZ) have problems when getting too much data too fast, so i added a special delay function that leaks messages at a specified time interval, and the buffer is emptied slow enough fo...

Instigator - Shredder
Wrote this in my free time between writing MIDI controllers for synth. It's an effect plugin that let's you sequence VST effects, giving some nice modulation possibilites. The idea was taken from the Glitch plugin, but i wanted my own FX on the sequencer. There are 4 step sequencer tracks and 4 midi...
