Re: Synth storage: too hot in attic?
i would avoid storing anything in that temperature longterm and would definitely avoid longterm high humidity as high humidity can do serious damage to electronics. all rogues and other moog synths that had this foam layer should have the foam layer removed, regardless of storage conditions, as it t...

Re: Analogue Polyphonic Synth Recommendations
i find its usually better to focus on overall tone than features. if the prophet is lacking in bass frequencies and you need them, the prologue sounds like a better choice for you, despite the fact that there may be fewer options. as for vintage, we meticulously service the items we sell here and it...

Re: Are all SH-101's the same?
We just use a 1000mA universal power adapter, which is a much better purchase than a Boss PSA power adapter since you can use it on a ton of stuff. You just need to make sure you select the correct voltage before you turn on the device.

Re: Yamaha TX816 sounds
I found a website within the last year or so that probably has every sound ever released for the DX7 (TX816). I don't have a link, but if you google DX7 patches or DX7 sysex, you should find it.

Wow, new old stock!
I love the CZ. Also check out the VZ series. It's like an 8 operator FM synth, but warmer and with ring modulation, etc.

Re: KORG Prologue
We recently became an authorized US Korg dealer because I really loved the Monologue and Minilogue. We own and use both of these. The Prologue is similar, so we pre-ordered one for ourselves. If you're looking for just one synth, then I can understand being really critical over specs, but at the end...

Re: How to fix non working Polysix buttons and key
It's quite common for tact switches to go bad over time in a number of synths. We just got another Polysix and a couple Prophet VS's for restoration and both will have their full set of switches replaced (and a lot more servicing) so they work perfectly again.

Re: Casio CZ1000 Key-tracking/pitch calibration problem?
if its not the transpose and its not the master tune, don't forget to check the pitch bend, which will often have a huge range until you press that p button and/or manually reprogram it.

Re: Prophet VS
the VS is a really special synth. the TG33 and wavestation are both vector synths too, and both are worth having if you're into vector synthesis, but they're no replacement for a VS. we just got 2 VS keyboards and will probably keep one of them to use along with the rack in our studio, since editing...
