Re: Basic Channel Synths/Gear

I'm able to get a very similar sound on my JX-3P with ample bouncing delay and reverb.

Re: New Future Retro product coming.

I'm hoping for a polyphonic sequencer or possibly an expander for the XS.

Yep, great synth had for very little money. I picked mine up when it was just released and it cost A LOT more than what it goes for now. I bought the Rekon editor but I honestly prefer the free one mentioned. The interface on the Pulse isn't that bad though.

Other than the poopy output levels and the low polyphony I haven't had any issues. I wonder if the system upgrade fixes these two issues. I have a real 808 and the Drumstation comes pretty close.

I built the sequencer in 6 or 7 hours. I'm a novice DIY'er so if I can do it everyone should be able to. It's a lot of fun to mess around with. The only issue I have with it is the gate. How 'bout a Mackie 1202? It has 4 stereo and 4 mono inputs. You can get one used for under $100. I have two and they have worked fine for 15 or so years.

I can vouch for Senso (http://www.vintageplanet.nl/). I haven't bought CEMs off him but I did buy a bunch of NOS 808 outputs. He's a top notch guy!

Here's the manual online > http://www.seersystems.com/reprints/www ... ion-1.html

If I remember correctly, if you set the arp switch to the bottom location you can set the LFO to retrigger mode instead of free run.
