Roland MKS-7 super quartet hot 80017A's

Hi,

I did a search but could find nothing on this subject but my apologies if this has already been addressed. I took the MKS-7 apart to check for bloaty caps' and such and during a run test noticed the 80017A's get stupidly hot, like cannot touch hot. Is this normal?

ARP Quartet switches

Hey, I think I asked a while back about this, but does anyone know of "original" or replacement switches for the ARP quartet. Looked in the sticky but couldn't find any reference. They are the strange toggle type switches.

Nice job, sir.. I got mine cheap in the 80's and rebuilt it (wheneever)...But they have the best sound... Anything from cliche "nutbush" to lashings of reverb solos oon the top registers.... Good score. Mine is pristiune now and is in the "if you touch I must break you" catagory. As may have said Dh...

CR-8000

Thought I'd already posted this, must have put it in the wrong place/not worked.

Tried a search but couldn't find any references. Has anyone ever experienced a problem with one of these where all of the control surfaces work but there is no audio output?

I guess as suggested he sheer cost of production vs the market would be impossible to maintain. Would be a cool thing though. Wonder what sort of materials they would use? The feel of the strings under the keys when your play is way groovy. I know mine originally had some noise issues but with amp r...

Hammond x5

Hey guys, Got me an X5 cheap ( in crappy condition) which I'm rebuilding. Got the spring reverb going and all of the "drawbars" B3 it aint but it definitely has it's own character. Full of reverb springy goodness.. It appears to be very "clicky" on key presses. Is this normal? or a maintenance issue...

Cool idea, Excellent pod cast.... There's was one for sale on the Eeeb here in Oz a while back but it got re listed a few times so I wasn't quite sure if it was legit. The fact that it was optical had me intrigued for quite a while. ( I think I put it in the interesting Ebay thread at some stage). T...
