Re: ! >>>>> COMPETITION POLL :: STAYING ALIVE REMIX <<<<<

strange, I liked the ones, which got the least votes, exept sexor. the acid version was nice. villi's versioon sounded really good. i wanted to give my vote to novielo first, but jabberwalky's version got me in the end. cool free attitude. this could be a club hit. amazing stuff. btw, jabberwalky, w...

i had such high hopes, so it was really a big dissapointment, especially soundwise. spec and construction are great though.

the whole novation line shares the same engine with little differencies: a-station, k-station, ks and x station. ks line had trouble with noise, which was solved with last os update. you still have to take care that to total sum of all the asc values is less than 127. k-station patches work on ks. i...

get the nord 2x, it's the best of clavia line. you will never learn to program with micron as your first synth. also, i personally prefer the sound of nord. i sold my micron, because i didn't like the way envelopes behaved, also i hated the keyboard, which had sharp edges and was painful if i played...

thanks for answers. doepfer for 159 eur + box, for 70 eur could do the trick (as mentioned before). frequency shifter from encore electronics sounded especially sweet. i wonder, if it's easy to get a power supply for this. i think i could handle making the box. try this sample doepfer's samples were...

Is there a standalone frequency shifter on the market?

Several modular synthesizers have the frequency shift modul, usually together with ring modulator, but is there a standalone version?

i've been waiting a chance to play it since it came out. it's not on sale locally and a month ago most of the stores with keys in paris hadn't even heard about it.

you destroyed my hope, was it this bad?

dd disk can be easlily made from usual hd floppy by taping over the second hole in the disk (not the write protect one).

w-30 is great, nice powerful lofi sound. the weakest point of it is the floppy driver. i used to make whole songs with its 15 sec sample memory :)

There are guitar pedal analogue delays out there to give you whatever flavour you want. I'd much rather pay $250 less and choose my own FX. the specifics of p8's sound come out, if played in stereo and by my knowledge, there are no stereo analog delays on the market, which means, that you also need...

I control my ATC-Xi from my Novation SL-37. Really fun to use the XY pad to change the sounds. One last thing, I heard on the ATCX you can tweak it using an external controller, but you can't save the new sound. The ATC-Xi allows you to save the sound (it's an updated OS that you can buy for your A...

in my experience the best sounding nord so far has been micromodular. didn't like lead3. lead2 is nothing special and so is nord electro.

but

if you look at the quality of the instruments, then nord is probably the best on the market. nice layouts, good knobs, durable bodies etc. a real instrument.
