Re: Triton as FX unit

yes this can be done. I don't have the rack but I have the Extreme. Plug organ into the sampling inputs. on the input pref tab in sampling mode set it to go thru IFX1. then you can chain up to five efx in IFX section. *I see you meant in combi or prog mode. works great in sampling mode. you should b...

Re: Heart/Brain of your setup?

I only have 3 synths now. TritonExtreme is the main . I send midi to Vermona lancet mono analog and a tx81z fm. I like to put both of those synths into the sampler inputs on the triton.
I like that QY above. in 96 or so I had a Qy300 and jv80 combo

Re: Synth Junkies Who're Guitar Junkies Too

I've never played guitar only in a band. My fellow synth nerds may want to check out the digitech GSP1101 or s...

Re: Some thoughts on the Nord Wave

sounds great Carbon, thanks for the GAS
It's so far out of my price range that is doesn't hurt too bad though. Kinda like seeing a nice Porsche on the street, or a MiniMoog on stage.

Triton Extreme, since it is my main synth.
The MOSS portion of the synth has 4 LFO's which is nice. Then you can layer sampled stuff in Combi mode and assign fx to knobs. I usually keep pads really simple though.
My little TG-33 is good too. It's not good at much except pads!

I use a Korg Triton Extreme 61 for everything. Program all kinds of splits and layers and load a few samples beforehand. It's a classic rock band so using mostly piano, organs, and horns. Finally using some synth sounds for a Prince track, yay! I may get SRX 11 for my Roland XV3080 and use it as a p...
