Re: DSI - Poly Evolver PE Conversion
I haven't posted in ages, but I saw this. I just installed the PE upgrade. So far I love it. the pots feel nice and I haven't noticed any "resolution" concerns. The remaining encoders are the Evolver style. Much better than the original PEK pot. Totally worth the cost. Yea, it's a bit expensive, but...

Siel DK600 / expander / opera 6 patch load
Hello, I'm looking for some patch data files and instructions on how to load them. I have a Siel Expander (not the expander 80). It's battery was dead when I got it but hadn't leaked. It powers up and will play the "default" patches (which aren't useful it just makes some random sounds) so I'm prett...

Re: minimoog model D DC fuse needed
I finally got to see it. The fuse it's self is fine. The connection in the fuse holder is broken (inside the holder). I didn't have a holder and all the stores were closed when I got to see it. (yes, he would have been too newbie to know how to get it to make a sound  #-o ). Anyway, I was able ...

Re: minimoog model D DC fuse needed
Do you know what the amp rating of the fuse is, and its (physical) size? You might be able to get one at RadioShack. No, that's what I'm trying to find out. He hasn't brought it over yet and he's out so I can't ask him about it. I **hope** it's a common one but I think it will be late tonight when ...

minimoog model D DC fuse needed
Hello, a friend has a model D he just got (for free from a co-worker  ). He wants to bring it by for me to look over because it doesn't make sound. from what he described and according to the service manual, I think it needs a DC fuse before I can even check it out. I've been looking for info...

I read the article and did a search for ASM and "modeling". That's not mentioned anywhere I could find. However it does say ' A nalogue S ynthesiser M odule' which is not ASM and "On the subject of oscillators, the BassStation's are not true VCOs (Voltage Controlled Oscillators) in the Pro One sense...

Where is everyone getting that the BassStation Rack has ASM. the topic comes up every few months it seems. I have the manual right in front of me and ASM or Analog Sound Modeling is not written in it anywhere I can find. On the cover it clearly says Analogue Synthesizer Module and in the introductio...

Re: What Kind Of Modular Am I Looking For?
you can get about 75-80% of the way there with good VA's and a little knowledge about analog synthesis Hopefully this is helpful. I completely disagree with this comment. In my experience i've found this to be anything but true. The flexibility of modulars are amazing. nothing like them. Something ...

planning a modular with theremin control
I'm planning a modular set up. I'm looking at Doepfer mostly (mostly based on price, and I don't want DIY, no available time for that). Since discovering the theremin and optical control modules, I want to base the system around those controls. I already have a Moog CP-251, mooger filter, ringmod, a...

I disagree about 5G. I was there twice about 6 months ago. They weren't talkative (especialy since my Japanese is very limited) but they were polite and very helpful. They even went out of their way to set up a synth that was not already set up and turned on, so I could play around with it. (ms-20, ...

modern wet squishy synth?
Hello, I have a mini-korg (K1) and a Korg 770. They have what I would call a wet squishy sound. I only use them in my studio and never take them anywhere. I'm looking for a modern synth with this sound character. I want to have something to play live with or move around occasionally. I haven't found...
