as far as i can tell. it clears its memory when you turn it off.
Update on this is.....it wont sample via the built in mic BUT connect a lead to the sample input...and Bingo...it works !

Hi guys Picked up a Yamaha VSS-30 today put batteries in it..and it worked. Tried the sample button..yep it sampled. Didn't seem to have as lot of sample time but didn't expect it really. Boy this job is too simple for works and cost £2 ($4)
All the sounds stay in ROM when you remove the battery.
Remove the base of the synth, un solder the battery, solder in the new one. Switch on and enjoy!!!

Ok guys so i bought the Emax to sell on, but no ones interested and im kinda fond of it. Theres 150 discs with it mainly orchestral sounds which is fine. Three questions, Theres no hard drive in it, can i fit one and where do i get the bits? The Floppy drive dont all ways spit the discs out 100% som...
