I can't appear to find something online about the price or excellence of them and I am wonder if this is a fine purchase. I would like to get into synths so is this product worth it? It worths that price jus...

Re: JP8080 acting unpredictably - any suggestions?

If an asterisc is shown on the LCD when the weird sounds come, it means a slider or knob has read a value change, so it affects the sound. Set the Midi Analyzer on (or Scope, don't recall how is it named on the JP now) and it will show which control is being changed in realtime.

Re: What 80s songs can the DX7 Tubular Bells be heard on?

Depeche Mode "People are People". There ain't no DX-7 in that song, the bells, harp and metal sounds are from the PPG Wave and Synclavier II respectively. EDIT: The tubular bells sounds on It Doesn't Matter could be the DX-7 though. Thanks for the input micke. I always thought that bells sounding a...

This is a spanish 80's band playing one of these (Mk II).
Altough the sound is not very complex, it makes an idea about the colour.

Re: Scsi CD rom drive for S3000XL

Hi there and welcome. If you google it, you should be able to find that an external SCSI CD Rom is needed. Try at junk stores or in ebay. Note that not all the SCSI cd roms work fine with that akai. Pioneer units are used to do the job right. If you find one which works, you will have to select a ce...

Re: This is the Depeche Mode "Fairlite"

so does Martin even use that in the song? i didn't see him play it once. was it used during another song? On that gig (I guess it is Hammersmith Odeon) he didn't touched it on at least eight songs. It was said he usually put it over the PPG for a kind of joke, as he (back on those days) couldn't (s...
