Re: Realistic Mg1, LFO/ENV to VCO2 mod
I looked at the moog rogue and MG1 schematics side-by-side and going to mod my MG-1 to replicate the circuit from the rogue. All it will take is a 6.8k resistor & a spdt switch. Need to lift one side of a resistor on one leg of the sync switch in order to add the countered sync option. Gonna look at...

Re: Looking for a kickass Vocoder
anyone tried any of the new electro-harmonix vocoders? I'm thinking of pairing one of these with a multi-timbral (maybe a roland sh-32) synth so that I can arp and vocode at the same time, in a small space.

Re: small synth with arp?
I was talking about the arpeggiator drifting out of sync with midi clock. I haven't had that happen on my original MS-2000. I clock it from the MPC. I don't think I've tried it with a DAW-based midi clock, but I know for example my 909 will sync fine to my MPC but doesn't like the DAW-based midi cl...

Re: small synth with arp?
MS2000B does, the original one doesn't. h**l despite owning two I had no idea. Thanks for the info though, because I've always toyed with the idea of picking another. not sure this is truth. I've owned a few original MS-2000s and never had an issue with midi sync. never owned an MS-2000B though.

Re: small synth with arp?
MS2000B does, the original one doesn't. Are you still talking about midi clock sync? My original ms-2000 syncs perfectly to midi clock from my MPC1000. maybe it can't sync to the sh1tty clock from a DAW or something but I use the arp synced all the time and it is spot on every time. I am under the ...

Re: Looking for a kickass Vocoder
After searching, researching and buy many vocoders, I am left with my 2 favorite, and missing 1 favorite but only barely. The best I have found is the Roland svc-350, with Jupiter 6 and an sm57. second best and even more versatile is the korg ms-2000. Runner up for me is the vp-330. Very nice but no...

Re: looking for bass/drum box
Emu makes some stuff that'd work, Check out the command station series And the rave o lution 309 which I realize is not emu but someone else. Both might not be easy to find for $200 though.

Re: small synth with arp?
It doesn't? Not the I'm getting a microkorg again but that is odd seeing as the ms-2000 syncs perfectly to midi clock.Stab Frenzy wrote:It's not small enough and the arpeggiator doesn't sync to midi clock properly.nuketifromorbit wrote:I can't believe no ones mentioned the micro korg yet.

Re: small synth with arp?
i think if I am gonna go rack width I will just use the ms-2000R. i gotta be able to put this on a table (keyboard stand with board probably) for live. I think i am gonna stick with the MS-2000 i have for now since I like it and realize that the arp gate time control is important to my workflow.

Re: small synth with arp?
looks cool but I think it is too wide. I should have mentioned in my original post that anything approaching rackmount width is just too wide. otherwise i'd pick up a cheap MS2000R. thanks thoughHugo76 wrote:How about a second hand Novation Nova desktop?

Re: small synth with arp?
I don't think I can program the micromodular even at home given the OSX computer I have. anyone have any other suggestions? There is a free third party editor for the modular g1 series called nomad that should work with osx. Keep in mind the g1 series do not have a true arpeggiator. oh word thanks....

small synth with arp?
I'm looking for a small synth to use live. my requirements are few: -small: it has to be small to fit in my violin case next to my MPC1000 -midi: has to have midi so the MPC can play it -arp: has to have an arpeggiator that syncs to midi clock -controls: has to have at least some controls. best woul...

hello how come no one mentioned this? you can get these dirt cheap now compared to old prices, and they have some of the best sequencers. i like the 1000 with JJOS2XL
