Re: Help finding keyboard/synths used on Disney album

Um, how do I get the image to link up? Can't figure it out.
You need to host it on something like imgur. Google drive sucks for embedding

There, fixed this for you

PS.: and darn, I thought you were commenting on my setup (the tidy part) ;-)

Here's mine after resurrection. Not pictured: Deepmind 12 and slightly abused (by previous owner) KX88, currently looking for permanent location.

Re: Synths and burnout

Well, my studio has been staying mostly dormant for nearly 4 years. How's that for "burnout".

Re: Korg 01W owners: a little help

I did fiddle with several settings (as I did with on my 01R/W - still comatose btw, but I have one guy with SMD machine who will probably try and fix it for me), most notably filter envelopes (decays and depth) and key follow, plus the effects will always sound a tiny bit different, but I'm immensel...

Re: Korg vs Behringer Odyssey

But which one makes the best nice authentic sounds like Gary Numan or Ultravox sounds? Also not to mention Tom Bakers Dr Who theme which was also done on the Original Arp. Both come very close, but not perfectly 100%. With Behringer you are getting cheaper components that might eventually wear off ...

Re: Korg 01W owners: a little help

You can sample different key as long as the sample has a full loop. I kind of remember the settings (because I actually modified the program to suit my needs ). Just let me know if there's any waveshaper setting I forgot. The files should be pretty small so you can use any free service like wetransf...

Re: Korg 01W owners: a little help

A+E across a few octaves would be good, dry samples, no effects or filter - but keep a full loop cycle. Although I already have more or less faithfully recreated the sound on Motif, having source material would be good to make it sound authentic as Yamaha doesn't have exact samples (although it has ...

Re: How is this synth sound made?

dude, just stop... The easiest way to do it is to hook an analog drum machine's tom CV/trigger to synthesizer with envelope generator and slow decay and that will control pitch drop, alternatively just arpeggiator, because, as OP noticed, it's chromatic drop. On a synthesizer, use square wave (50% p...
