Yeah, it's sometimes a drag that the monomachine can't do different track lengths. However, from a user interface standpoint it is hard to beat as a sequencer for internal and external instruments. When sequencing external tracks, one can designate note (or chord), step length, pitch bend, velocity,...

I love the MnM for external sequencing. On the 6 external Midi tracks you can parameter lock 6 CCs plus program chnges. Also, you can use LFOs to affect CCs and the highly flexible arpeggiator outputs midi notes as well. The 6 internal tracks output midi as well (notes + chords). I like sequencing e...

JS, I believe you'll be alright with the G2. I only have a Micromod but I still use it on almost everything. Programming it can be as easy or hard as you make it. It's not as mathematical as Reaktor. It is a little bit more fluid. The great thing is that you can have eight variations per patch on th...

Nord Modular G2 comes to mind, too. Has Midi, full size keys, a sequencer and a rather good HW interface. Plus you could completely customize its sequencer. JS, you could also run GND Imp out of your MDUW to clock an SH101's sequencer if that would be an option. Don't do the Micron. It has the most ...

Re: drum machine through synth
does anyone process drum sounds or loops from a drum machine through a synth which can except external signals? it sounds like a good idea to get crazier percussive sounds for more experimental electronika Battery drum loop through Moog Little Phatty Filter (under Little Phatty Filter In): http://w...

Congrats JS on the LP. As others have said before, there is just something about it. It's almost as if the MnM and the LP were made for each other. Linked is a little demo ("MonoMachine Arp demo")of the MnM sequencer running an XB09, then an arpped LP, then an internal MnM sound. JS, you might have ...

For the price of an SH2, you could probably get an 09 plus a moogerfooger freqbox. You could control the freqbox with the 09 CV out and run the Freqbox into the audio/filter in of the 09. I have SH101 audio + CV/Gate out running into the 09 to have a 2 Osc 09 with a sequencer/arp. It works pretty we...

The MEK has a sequencer IIRC. Maybe it is a bit more cryptic than the 777. Then of course the Source has a built in seq as well. Yeah, I'm a sucker for built in sequencers, too. (edit) Uhhh, ohhhh, the JX3P has a very accessible built in sequencer, however, I doubt it does slides. Plus, it mi...

I think it will be great if DSI incorporated one P08 or at least one Evo voice in the BoomChick. To further expand on that concept I wish there was a box out with Elektron MnM sequencing and arp capabilities, one voice of Little Phatty along with a similar UI, Jomox XB09 drums, FR Mobius CV/Gate/Clo...
