Yeah, I've read it. Thing is I doubt they can do it. Many parts not available anymore, and if they do it will be some tic tac size version that is nothing like the real deal

I have 3 monos, 3 polys, and 3 drum machines
Works for me. They are all totally different so keeps me entertained. Find it works better for my workflow too. Would love a couple more, but i'm limiting myself.

Is mainly to set the sensitivity of the drums to trigger. If you aren't using a drum to trigger it. Sets the velocity of the drum hit. If you aren't using drums than they aren't going to do much of anything.

There were a couple made in the 90's with spare parts. 500 actually seems a high. I have/had both fenix synths and a 216 vocoder so you can say I'm a synton fan. everything made in very little quantities

The most idiosyncratic sounds of the Syrinx are produced by running signals into the resonator *and* the low-pass filter simultaneously, either in serial or in parallel mode.
