Re: FAO Sherman filter owners

I just boost the incoming signal enough so that I can keep the input knob around 9 o'clock and still trigger the envelopes.

Re: Schippmann - Ebbe und Flut - Clicks.

The EuF's envelopes are really, really fast, and that could well be it. If the H and D settings are also short, then you'll get a click.
Presumably you're not getting these problems if you're just using the envelope follower to modulate cutoff, or if the AHR knobs are all set past a certain amount?

I've been using it with Vista for a year and a half and had no problems.

Re: Getting that full sound

- invest in quality monitors - acoustic treatment - careful EQ - monitoring on a variety of systems +100000 If you can't hear what your recordings sound like, it's very hard to figure out what's wrong with them. Look into what you can do to improve the acoustics of the space you work in, get good m...

Re: Best DAW on PC?

Midi in reaper was pretty dodgy until (I think) 3.0 - it's great now, they've really put some effort into improving it.

Re: Best DAW on PC?

Reaper is well worth a try, fully featured, constant updates, and it's a whole lot less expensive than the big DAWs. Plus (effectively) unlimited trial period.

Re: Recording with mixer vs interface

Which would mean that you wouldn't need a physical compressor and eq for every track, plus automated fades, editing, all the stuff that you can do in any DAW.

Re: So... What's up at Elektron?

^ Should be doable, sounds like the "X-mix" feature of the command station. - just switches a single track at a time, instead of a whole group.. so you're not putting extra processing load on, just can gradually shift from one pattern to the next Unless the group of 16 tracks is a single object in ...

Between Soundtoys and Uhbik, I'm pretty sure I don't have to get an Eventide, at least not for now. Two excellently complimentary flavours of effects.

Re: Waldorf Blofeld... The Little Wonder Synth of The Decade!

Joey, this isn't the Buyer's Guide, it's a thread praising the Blofeld.
It's a fantastic synth. Waldorf has made quite a few of those, and this is the one you can buy new at the moment.

Re: Waldorf Blofeld... The Little Wonder Synth of The Decade!
