Synthedit = More CPU usage, GUI bugs, and no hope of there ever supporting 64 bit, the new VST standard, Mac, Linux, Vista, ect. ect. ect. Plus synthedit is more like reaktor, not a programming language. I'd personally rather have one made in MAX/MSP using pluggo than Synthedit. I may buy the reakt...

As long as it sounds authentic (which it does), I couldn't care less if it was programmed in VIC20 Basic. Synthedit = More CPU usage, GUI bugs, and no hope of there ever supporting 64 bit, the new VST standard, Mac, Linux, Vista, ect. ect. ect. Plus synthedit is more like reaktor, not a programming...

New whip-upization...

Tossed this together last night to try out my new copy of AudioRealism Drum Machine. This plug-in is a lot of fun. Samples ripped from a game, etc. http://home.comcast.net/~r3cogniz3r/226-TrAcid.mp3

Very true! :) I suppose I should have phrased it "once I'm done with my current batch of DIY projects..." :D

The VCDO was my favorite as well. I just sold my Modcan B system off. It was not in any way due to lack of coolness, quality, or anything like that. It was a small system using a few Modcan B modules, and some MOTM modules. Anyway, the Modcan stuff is top quality, there are plenty of modules availab...

It's been a while, but I just now got around to testing mine out (which was purchased at the time of my first post in this thread. It works fine. It takes step input from a keyboard, it records in real-time, etc. Just thought I'd post a quick update. I got mine from NovaMusik.

I've already sold some gear, and am just awaiting the release. This is exactly what I was looking for in an analog poly. I don't even need to see any remaining specs. My criteria are: Modern, analog (DCO is great with me,) 8+voices, nice interface, and sub-Omega/Sunsyn/Andromeda pricing for a new u...

Can't wait for this baby. Once I've stopped flipping out I'll have to pick what gear to pawn. Me three! I've already sold some gear, and am just awaiting the release. Moog is definitely on my list too. I love my LP. I have to mention Modcan as well here, as these modules are the best I've seen/used.

Just got mine. I haven't tried the MIDI input yet to see if it exhibits this issue. I haven't spent much time with it yet, but I love it. In the first five minutes I had a nice pattern going through my expressionist. I had a standard CV and Gate sequence, and then additional gate sequences to contro...

I agree completely. There is a lot more variety available in Euro/Frac formats. I've been seeing more third party DotCom compatible modules lately, but still not close to what the smaller formats have to offer. Of course you can fairly easily mix in some Modcan B or MOTM modules with the DotCom modu...

The Phatty is an awesome player's synth, maybe not so much "programmers-of-vast-ambient-soundscapes" synth. It has a great feeling keyboard, and big knobs and big backlit rubber pushbuttons that are easy to see and reach for on stage. I spent a couple hours with one in a store, and loved every mome...

Hey, I should be able to say, "To each their own." My friend, Mike Florio put together an album called Arien that was first made available a year-and-a-half ago. Listening to it, you'd think it was made at least in part with true analog synths. Apparently, he does have a Hammond M series organ and ...
