Re: Your latest musical purchase
Just bought a Juno-106 with replaced voice chips. It was a nostalgic purchase for me. Since I have a FS1R, I sold a DX7IID to finance it. On its way!

Re: Which synthesizer(s) do you regret getting or selling
Yamaha FS1R - despite the poor interface, it is an amazing sounding synth.
Regretted it so much, I just bought a replacement.

Re: Synths and You (the collection of opinions)
Questions: 1) The synth that made you want to play music: Actually, it was a Hammond B-3 organ, then a piano. For synths, it was a Moog Minimoog 2) Your first synth: Moog Rogue 3) The synth that has surprised you most: Yamaha FS1R 4) The synth that has disappointed you most: Korg Volca 5) The synth ...

Just picked one up really cheap in great shape. I love the sounds, the interface, and being able to drive other synths with the trigger out. The mixer is fantastic live letting you bring sounds in and out.

Re: Reissues you'd like to see...
I would like to see a recreation of the CS-50, 60, 80 series. The signal path (OSC into 2 High and Low pass filters, independent Sub Osc, etc.) was unique and made those synths have a unique sound that is hard to recreate. The ribbon controller was awesome. Not to hit the hornet's nest, but IMHO, sof...

Re: How many hardware synths do you own?
Believe it or not, in 2005 a Motif workstation could (and did) replace all of that. The Evolver is a good analog synth to complement the digital Motif. So today I only need two hardware instruments. Same situation! The Motif XF+ a bunch of VSTs replaced a whole lot for me. My Minimoog Model D may n...

+1
OP-X is one of the few VSTs with balls. It nails the OB-Xa/OB-8.

Gigged with a Roland Juno-6 for 4 years in college. Never glitched once. The Juno-6/60 are rock solid.
