Re: eurorack/lunchbox questions
Am I right in thinking that the audiosignal (say, a sawtooth) as generated by an oscillator module has the same voltage 'loudness' as any controlling signal, such as LFOs and envelopes? In other words: you can just run LFO-output through an ordinary LPF and end up with a smoother LFO-shape? If so, ...

Re: Eurorack Power Supply + Home Brew Modules
The power section here should help describe the dopfer power requirements to use that 16 pin connection to power:

That is definitely something I wouldn't have thought to do ever. How/why does patching a CV out to a CV out effect the sound at all?JayEm wrote:THIS PATCH MAKES NO SENSE

Re: Synthesizers on Kids TV
Yes! I remember one episode where they kept cutting to a shot of the orange dude with a bunch of old Roland machines. There was a CR78, 606 and even an 808 if I remember. And they always have bands on that are heavy on synthesizers. Chromeo doing a track with a talkbox, for instance. I found that C...

Re: Bitstream 3x as a Yamaha DX programmer?
I believe the DX series synths use system exclusive (SYS EX) messages to make parameter changes ( source : page 32: reception), and I'm not sure you can change multiple parameters simultaneously either. I poked around on the Wave Idea site and it looks like it transmits SYS EX, but if there isn't al...

Re: UPDATE: eBay Buyer from h**l!
This just keeps on getting worse. This guy seems like a caricature of a bad eBay buyer, I didn't even realize it got this bad. I hope eBay can use those pictures to do something that sucks less for you in the end.

Re: Korg to release ARP Odyssey
I saw "dirty loops" and unbelievable in the previous post thinking it was the good sort of unbelievable, un-muted the live broadcast and immediately regretted the decision. Maybe this will motivate Jonah Nilsson to research time travel to stop himself from this terribad performance in 2015 that ruin...

I think Volta would work as well, but you need a MOTU interface to use it.

Re: expanding voices on waldorf micro Q
They made an expansion card that seems really hard to find second hand nowadays. There was a thread on electro-music where people were trying to get a group of 50 + people interested in a lot from encore electronics ( link ), and there may be some people there still working an another group buy from...

Was it the V-Machine from SM Pro Audio? I think I've seen another little box like it too, but I can't remember what it was called :?: (edit: that's not $5000 or a keyboard, I read the second post by the OP and thought he was talking about something the size of the snow ... carry on everybody,...

Re: #Selfie Synth
The idea of there being a new generation's "Jump sound" (where people want to emulate it and play it and compare everything to it) is mildly intriguing, I certainly hope it's not the song linked to in this thread.
