My bad.
Lapse, sounds warmer > assume VCO, should know better....
OT- It's been a while since I've looked in around here, has there been any insight into its architecture revealing why it sounds more substantial than the 106?
Careful w/ the Polysix , I've owned 3- the amount of times its taken to get a fully functioning one( it was worth it). Definitely inspect the pcb, the unfortunate thing is the top could still look fine yet all the corrosion will be on the bottom of the board which isn't visible. Things to look for:...
Thanks for the replies guys. I'm looking forward to cuemix and the software synth. Anyone have thoughts on the Apogee Duet? Haven't found many reviews of this kit, the cable connectors look rather wimpy; e.g. small gauge wires, but otherwise I've had good experience w/ other apogee products in the p...
Hello All, Been I while since I posted here, nice to see some of the old faces around. The new year brought the death of my venerable firewire Motu 828. Its been pretty reliable over the years and only glitched on me a few times luckily in the studio and not on stage. I'm looking for something compa...
The 701 is sweet, run it through an over-driven amp w/ buckets of reverb- live it can sound like a legit organ. Also it has the 'laser fart' and 'atomic blast' options which are great for those 2am drunken dub reggae laughs. It would also kill someone if dropped from a porch. Organ, Honky Tonk, Funk...
Have you tried adjusting the attack- turn from 0 to 1?
It could be as simple as the envelope setting.
Good luck, in general the polysix is a bit noisy btw.
Swweet. For the Volume pot ish, go online and order some this stuff here Not sure about the Signal noise thing, I've never had that problem. Might not be a bad idea to pick up one of these if its a power issue, I found one used for 35 bucks on craigslist. I cant remember if it has a grounded outlet ...
Hey Juno- Hogwash- its a great synth that's very user friendly and fully programmable, you just have to be savvy on how you allocate the voices to each program/ patch as you can have 4 going at once. I was initially a bit put off by this as I was buying a VA solely because I was sick of 4-8 note pol...
Hmm ... there are a lot of questions there, Brian! So let me answer them in this order: 1. Give it LOTS of thought before attempting to build an amp. Lots 'n' lots of thought ... then do it! 2. I've built a couple of kits for guys, but mostly I build my own. The ones I've built and seen have all be...
Gonna have to plus one on the Music Man amp! I have a 212 hd ( read 70 lb tank) and have no idea how loud it can get as I have'nt gotten past 6 I think- too loud w/ earplugs... Still sounded great though- I think I'd rather have a clean amp for synths, then you can have a dirt/fuzz pedal for nasty a...
Hey All- Just picked up an Ion after years of curiosity. I'm not terribly versed on menu style synths so excuse the simple query's. Checked the manual already a handful of times and while informative as to the function, does'nt explain the operation too well... 1) Cant figure out to change Set-ups( ...
