Re: What specifically is special about the DX100?

I had the spectra back in 91- it was my first synth. It was pretty bad but was probably the cheapest rompler available to man back then (without speakers that is...). It was ok- I don't hate it as much as you do but actually the key action was s**t! When I went with my dad to get it the seller was t...

I was working in a music shop back in this model's heyday. It was buggy as h**l and sounded extremely plasticky.
Good points? it had nice rhythm styles and at the time it was the cheapest home keyboard with touch sensitivity and MIDI. Still, we preferred selling PSR220... :D

First of all I love your stories! Secondly I had this very model and I loved it- used it for years and it never failed me. Just before I moved to the UK the LCD died and I moved to the UK without it. I bought here the QS6.1 but never clicked with it as much. Eventually I brought the old QS6 to the U...

just wanted to add that as a huge DX7 fan, I missed mine a lot lately and I just bought both the Howard Massey book (another thumbs up from me), and a DX7 mkI with the extremely rare Supermax expansion. This thing is phenomenal- MIDI delay, Arp, voice stacking, microtuning and easy onboard programme...

Just uploaded a new Yamaha DX100 Jam video

In this video I’m doing my usual drill- a drum loop + bass and EP sounds provided by the DX100. Then I’m just flicking through mainly my own programs that I created along the years. I also do some on the fly programming- who said FM programming was a nightmare? No fancy audio processing. I ran the D...

Here it is translated by babelfish The KORG KAOSSILATOR is a new cliche Synthesizer in the vest pocket format with famous KORG Synth sounds and performance possibilities, which inspire abslout. The KAOSSILATOR is served over its touch-sensitive PAD, with which one can fire a rich treasure at Synthes...

Hi Unfortunately this is a common fault with the X-station and as far as I know there's no DIY fix for it. You can get overwhelmed by the amount of people who's got this problem on the Yahoo Novation discussion group. I've got an Xstation 61 and so far I haven't got this problem. From what I underst...

dx7 stuck note problem

I've got a Yamaha DX7 mkI and it's perfect, only problem is that when it's connected to a MIDI module (XV2020, AN200) it sometimes forgets to send a note off command and I get a random note stuck, until I change a patch on the module. This doesn't occur on the DX own sounds which means it's a midi p...
