Re: Studiologic sledge 2.0 vs blofeld?
Hi i have been looking for a new synth, and I have narrowed my search down to one of these synths. But I can't figure out if the sledge 2.0 actually has more to offer than the blowed. What do you guys think? The overall sound capabilities are very important to me, but price and interface does also ...

Re: Your lifelong equipment list
The ones I still have are Maschine, Octatrack, Tempest, Analog Four, OP-1, Reface CS, and the Pocket Operators. I'd probably trade or sell any of them at any given moment, except the Octatrack. Wouldn't mind owning another Blofeld, and perhaps another Monomachine. Those synths are amazing, but easil...

Tempest, would buy one the same day, and spend the rest of my life tracking the rat bastard what took ol' #2075.
Analog Rytm, meh not so much. My eyes and fingertips could use the rest.

Re: Gear Trading Thread
Have a Virus TI2 Polar that i'd like to trade for a TI2 or TI Desktop plus cash. It's got a few minor nicks and scrapes, but overall quite good shape and everything works 100%.
I don't have a box so I'd prefer not to ship, i'm in the Milwaukee/Chicago area.

Re: have you ever bought the same peice of gear 3 times?
Elektron Analog Four (x3) Elektron Monomachine (x3) Elektron Octatrack (x3) Korg MS-2000 (x3) Native Instruments Maschine Mk2 (x3) Teenage Engineering OP-1 (x3) Waldorf Blofeld (x4) The list of stuff I have owned twice is currently 22 strong. I guess it's a consequence of always wanting to try new ...

Re: Korg Minilogue Polyphonic Analog Synth
I bought the Yamaha CS Reface, then the Roland JP-08, both of which I found to be awesome little guys. Now Korg pulls this one out of thin air, analog even, and it seems I must own this too. Something just appeals to me with these miniaturized synthesizers. Wow, so you're the other person who bough...

Re: What synth have you bought more than one of?
I've never had two of the same thing at the same time, but money/space constraints tend to yield a lot of repeats. With the exception to the Blofeld and MS-2000, anything I've had more than twice I've kept: Waldorf Blofeld (x4) Elektron Monomachine (x3 - currently own) Elektron Octatrack (x3 - curre...

Re: Looking for inexpensive bass synth
If you already have a MIDI controller, the DSI Evolver Desktop is a cheap and cheerful option, as is the Mopho. The Evolver desktop is great because when you're programming the sequencer, the note plays as you turn the knobs making it really easy to program. Plus in addition to the two analog oscill...

Re: The Rentals tone with new budget synth (Minibrute, MS-20
For The Rentals you need two syncable oscillators so that rules out the Brutes. Out of the three you mentioned, the BSII is closest. I dislike it personally for the same reason as Rokk, fixed key tracking is a sin. ("please let that be you" will never sound right!) I would go with a Novation Ultrano...
