TR-808 Screws external
Hello, any chance knows somewhere I can source the tiny screws that go on the front of the 808 which hold the metal case on?

MATRIX6R Owners - Do both L and R outputs work by default?
Picked up a matrix 6r for cheap recently, and I noticed that the outputs don't default as stereo, however the R output does in fact work, but I have to use split mode etc... was curious if anyone could inform me if their matrix has output stereo by default.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: WaldorfXT is collecting dust while I use Virus TI. Opini
my Blofeld sits well with my Virus and there is very little sonic overlap between the two. Agreed. Don't get rid of it just yet, unless you really need the cash. Try doubling up sequences of your other synths with the XT - the synergy of two (or three... or four.... ) different synths playing the s...

Re: WaldorfXT is collecting dust while I use Virus TI. Opini
Spend a weekend getting intimate with the XT. If you can't find a place for it in your tracks then yeah I'd get rid of it. Trim the fat. I concur. I also understand that it's a dedicated wavetable synth, which has had rave reviews and performances. But, to be honest, I have sat down w/ this machine...

WaldorfXT is collecting dust while I use Virus TI. Opinions?
So, lately, I've been on a rather great streak of pumping out a good flow of material and have ended up w/ 3 solid songs that I really enjoy. However, those pieces have been w/ my latest duo, the SE1x(angel dust) and my oh so lovely Virus TI. My question is , do you guys think I'm missing out on a s...

Re: Virus Moog filters question
SHIFT + Filter type (or you can dig through Filter Edit and edit Filt type), the amount of button presses corresponds to the number of filter poles (1 to 4 poles). The main differences are that this filter is a bit darker, has one single type of saturation (called "analog overdrive") hardwired, and...

Re: Ableton - Mixdown w/ different sample rates - 96khz mast
dithering should be only during the final final stage, during the mastering process usually. Ableton will do it's best to upsample all your work to 96khz 24bit, and keeping the mixdown settings that high will prevent premature bit/sample rate reduction and quality loss. It'd be better if all your s...

Ableton - Mixdown w/ different sample rates - 96khz master
So my projects are at 96khz 24bit - however, I have samples in my project, some rated at 44.1khz 32 bit, some 48khz 24bit, depending on where I pull them from. My question lies in the mixdown and dithering, is there any attention or method I should apply before my mixdown? I should mention these are...

Re: The Official 'Secrets of the Studio' Thread!
No, running two signals with a Y cable isn't going to add anything at all. Copying the track in Live gives you the same thing, in fact it will give you perfect phase coherency which you possibly might not get from splitting the signal and running into two inputs, due to potential differences in the...

Re: HEADPHONES - Headphone amp (Update purchased Beyer A1 Am
Most definitely, good copy on all. I have the 770's as well 80 ohm, but the chord is damaged I need to resolder the connector. I like the soundstage having both provides, for the isolation I can go for the 770's and the 880's for the wider soundstage... All and all, its really picked up the characte...

Re: The Official 'Secrets of the Studio' Thread!
Bass players have been doing that for years, split the signal to the lows and the highs and let the lows go through clean and fuzz/phase/wah/etc. the highs. It's a bit easier to do with synths and a DAW though, cause you just copy the track then use a HPF on one and a LPF on the other. Powerful bot...

Re: HEADPHONES - Headphone amp (Update purchased Beyer A1 Am
What are you running into it? The line outputs from the Motu? That webpage is confusing, it says stuff about 96k but it appears to be completely analogue. Currently as follows: MOTU Ultralite out into Hosa SLW333 Passive Line Selector which outs to my Dynaudio's and the other outs to the A1 via mon...

Re: HEADPHONES - Headphone amp or new card for 250ohm BeyerD
Just an update, I bought the Beyerdynamic A1 headphone amplifier, and it's f*ckn' amazing truly a good tool for monitoring via headphones. Very neutral and true. Beyerdynamic A1 headphone Amplifier I know there's not alot of input on this, I couldn't find enough related to music production just all ...
