Re: Archangel Sequencer
AH got a couple units in already and they sold. the rest of their order should be there soon. as far as i know, everyone who ordered one and was waiting on it has theirs now. the spacing is identical to the TKB but the knobs are slightly different, and yes "TKB for the rest of us" was the original c...

Re: The making of Moskow Diskow
How weird to see them using these monster modulars costing tens of thousands of dollars to make something that sounds like computer MIDI music today.. i build modular synthesisers and i love the s**t out of this track. never do i think it sounded like "computer midi music" when i hear it. thanks to...

Re: Sonic State King Korg review
i spent a half-hour programming it at 'nam and i think there are definitely some things about it which could be better but on the whole i was rather excited about it as it will very easily replace my JP-8000 which is all i need this thing to do.
i'm looking forward to getting it.

Re: Synth prices and inflation
No, it isn't. In the 1990s, milk, bread and petroleum products (i.e. gasoline) were specifically removed from the CPI in order to provide the appearance of a lack of inflation. The results from after that change are skewed (and also one reason they can claim there is no inflation now...) the remova...

Re: I Dream of Wires
Very bizarre to me that Jack Dangers' silly/fun "Take that, Wendy Carlos" was read into as anything deeper than that - a silly comment for fun. out of context it sounds like the dismissive raving of a history-ignorant j**k. His comment, for the record, was a reference to a point he had made earlier...

And its not just the age of the person, its the age of the music made with those celebrated but dated machines. Lots of 19 year olds like 70s yes, weather report, genesis and tangerine dream but that music and its sounds is still old. i don't understand, are you saying that Synthesizers.com systems...

Re: I Dream of Wires
He was really talking more about the typical 5u-user, the same people that Andreas Schneider refers to as "generation 60+" - the older guys reliving their Tangerine Dream youth fantasies now through 5U, many of whom want only classic Moog style sounds and modules. Those guys probably won't be buyin...
