Call me a heretic but I preferred it as stock... This mod is interesting though :) Some guy has reverse engineered the OS eprom and is developing a kit. there are a few youtube vids demonstrating it. Sold my Poly800 a little while ago, no matter still have the Juno 60 and the Kenton box. Weee! http:...

I'm using S&H to modulate something a little out of the ordinary...
Can't say anything more than that as its for a boutique product under development.

Includes a sequencer, lfo and noise source... and it ain't a synth.

I think it states in the manual that it happens (as previously mentioned) with the juno/jupiter selector. Triggering from live 7(on Delta 1010 and Edirol UM-2 interfaces), microkorg, poly800 and Korg ES-1 has been fine. My problem is that I can't seem to get the LFO to do anything... (Of course I've...

I just wish I kept my ion instead of selling it to buy a MURF. Sure the MURF is ok.... but its kinda samey after a while. The ion is a sweet board IMO but all I did really was try to emulate my old Juno 6... Yes I am a chronic dumb arse. Slowly learning from my mistakes. Even before they discontinue...

Never sell yourfoogers
I made that mistake and I weep!

Still have the murf but one thing irks me.
I can actually hear the thing in operation from the box.
Seems to occasionally bleed into my other sources.
Anyone else notice this?

i find the murf to be a super analogue EQ when not being modulated.

after killing then fixing my Malekko Heavy Industry 600ms Dark I have to say that I am VERY happy with the quality of the echoes and overall timbre of the device. Make sure you usea regulated power supply as it uses a MAX1044 chip which is only rated at 10v max. they do a bright version too. The dar...

while the MS2k engine can do some nice things, I've never managed andy "classic" sync sounds on it. For whatever reason I'm obsessed with sync at the moment. Last synth geek meet I was using the MK as a controller and and FX source. Running a REAL MS20 through its input actually smoothed out the har...

(Not too scared of drunks, but I have an irrational fear of the living dead...) Ended up trekking miles(o...

I had the misfortune to forget that my BRAND NEW Analogue delay had to use a regulated PSU. Turns out that not using one killed a chip that has a max voltage rating of 10v fortunately it wasn't one of the MNxxxx delay chips. I only had it 3 days :( lesson here. When you have a bit of kit thats says ...

Ahh the olde AN1X.

A lovely bit of kit.
I could do things with that that I've never been able tr replicate.

Just wish its wasn't sooo..... bendy in the case department

I have some kit I'm happy with, but not obsessed.
DIY has my full attention these days.

Re: MS20 knobs

Hi all Is there a place where you can get MS20 knobs both large and small? Hi Ross. You can find stuff on ebay most like. But there are some knob places about that do custom jobs. Check this thread at electromusic forums for a bucnh of links that may or may not help. http://electro-music.com/forum/...

A cheap looper is the EHX #1 echo. up to 2 seconds of rather clean sounding digital delay. if you use the 2nd output of a guitar tuner as a "bypass switch" type device or a bypass loop pedal its fine. Personally I'm pretty lousy at timing with loopers in general. My Malekko Delay can do the loop thi...

I haven't shaved since December. 2006. Before that was 2004 I think, can't remember. I've had a few trims but didn't shave once between 1997 and 2005. These days if the full beard hangs round for too long, the underlying skin gets real ratty and just plain yuck. Seems to be something to do with air...
