SP-808 is cheap!
Anbody got an opinion on the SP-808. If you don't mind it's massive size, using zip disks, and small pads you might find one of them cheap. You might be able to win one at $150 - $200. I just recently got a Korg ESX for $359 and it was very hard to decide between it and the 404. If I do get another ...

I just got my ESX last week, but read up in your manual on keyboard parts, stretch parts, and slice parts. Learn what each one is and what kind of samples can be used for each one. What I used to do alot is use Cool Edit and do alot of FX to a section of the track, then fade it in, then copy it, then undo it all back to normal, then fade the normal part out, then Mix paste in the other part; so you have a great fade to an effect! I got a Korg ESX sampler coming in the mail, and I'm going to load vintage drum machine samples. Plus I've made samples of my old Boss DR-202, Zoom SB-246 "great hip hop", and Korg EM-1.
