I am still using a S1000 for Hip Hop drums. Once a friend and I A/Bed a S1000 and a MPC3000 and the difference in sound quality was almost indistinquishable to us. Of course, you don't get the groove or pads with a S1000 but it is a lot more inexpensive. Eventually though I will just sample all of m...

anybody use velvet...er..the softsynth that is

hard to find any meaningful reviews on the web. Thinking of going that route. I know its only RTAS which is a bit of a bummer but I've used Protools extensively in the past.

looking for 60- 70's style drumming CD ROM

I am looking for a drumming loop CD with the kinds of sounds that bands got in the 60's or 70's with overcompressed snare and very dry sounding, similiar maybe to easy listening or MOR type music like the Carpenters or something.

help cs1x midi to cubase problems

I'm trying to hook up my CS1x via USB midi device to cubase. I will get hanging notes and sometimes only allows me to play one note every 4 or 5 seconds. However, it seems to work perfectly well with my Chroma Polaris but the CS1X would be a better conctroller because of its knobs. I feel I have tri...

Native Instruments has an excellent demo (One for Massive too) so you can download it and try it out for yourself.

Also you will probably need a soundcard of which many of them come with a light version of a particular software.
Although many still arn't Universal Binary, or whatever thats called, yet.

The new velvet from Digi looks nice. Of course, you have to running pro tools to use it but it might be a vsti someday. The video introductions on the Digi site look really nice.

patches for korg legacy?

Does anybody know where I could find patches on the net or to buy for this great software synth. Wavestation and MS20 are good but the legacy is great.

i know this is gonna sound crazy but I've played alot with the minimax ASB and NOAH in the store and liked them more than the voyager. To me they sounded great. The best VAs that I've ever played. Better, to me, than the Nord stuff.

cheers
