Intolerance against people who act differently undermines a free society. Intolerance against people who are intolerant creates a free society. Uh... no. It creates a society in which only 'approved' opinions are tolerated. Voltaire must be spinning in his grave. Your inability to allow another per...

I replied to Stabs comment because I don't like intolerance. Please excuse me while I choke on some irony. I wasn't going to say anything, thanks. I replied to Stabs comment because I don't like intolerance. And I believe that if you don't hurt or supress anyone with your actions, these actions can not ever be called bad. The quote from George Orwell's Animal Farm in my signature is there for a reason. Now back to the A6 Andromeda. Allow yours...

But I totally agree with you, most music forums that I've frequented over the years have had a huge fixation on 'what to buy next' with the underlying assumption that more gear will make your music sound better I think this is a misleading assumption. Most people on this forum just want to have fun...

Don't turn into one of those people who ends up with a room full of synths they don't fully understand how to use and don't have any tracks to show for it. I think this opinion is realy creapy. Are people that make music worth more than homo synth ludens? There is nothing wrong if yo...

Re: Sequencers - Knobs & note positions - ease of use.
Some hardware sequencers have knobs to change the notes of each step of a sequence. Sometimes I find myself trying over and over to turn the knob to the right note. Do you find having knobs to change note positions of a sequence unintuitive? Or do you fiddle around too much trying to find the right...

Will the Old School survive a EMP blast, since it doesn't have any digital components? EMP will kill analog too. We'll all be playing pianos after the BIG ONE. Michael Faraday has come up with a prety simple solution to protect equipment from EMP. Infact all modern military equipment is perfectly s...

I'm using the 107 as an extra Osc for my Modular (Eurorack). It's my fav osc now. No other has CV controlled waveshaping and using the audio input as well makes a nasty sound. The Analogue Systems RS-95 has cv waveshaping of triangle to saw/inverted saw and a variation of this with sine waves. That...

I start by analizing how the sound in my head is made up. Is it monosono or unisono, one or more oscillators, polyphonic or monophonic etc... How does it develope over time. Analize how the attack stage sounds and developes, how does the timbre changes in the attack stage. Then do the same with the...
