A3000 prices.

Has anyone got any idea how much a fully expanded Yamaha A3000 is worth thease days? Its a V2 with internal hard drive, optional output card and SCSI card. Its also maxed out on the memory with all the card slots full to capacity!

Thoughts appreciated!

Brad.

Macbook specs for Protools LE and Mbox 2.

Finally my hardware saga is nearly over, but the final question is...

Would a Macbook white, 2.0 Ghz, 4GB ram, 120gb HD + External 1TB HD be fine for running Protools LE with an Mbox 2?

Your thoughts and opinions please!?

Thanks, your advise is very much appreciated!

Brad.

Re: switch from hardware to software, advice needed!

Ok, would I be right in thinking that if I get a white macbook 2.0, and upgrade the RAM to 4GB + add an external hard drive (Probably 1TB) to the standard 120GB, this would be fine for running say Pro Tools LE with Mbox 2?

Cheers for your replys!

Re: switch from hardware to software, advice needed!

Thanks for the replys guys, I have had a think and have decided that I want to run Logic, so Mac it is. I can't really afford a Macbook pro so it looks like it will be a Macbook, probably the older one if I can get one, not the new one. So heres the new question - Would I get away with a 2.0 ghz, 2g...

switch from hardware to software, advice needed!

Hi all, I am thinking about making the move at last from hardware to software and really have'nt got a clue where to start. My current set up consists of a Yamaha RM1X as the sequencer, a Triton Rack as my 'sound source' and a Yamaha A3000 as my sampler. Coupled together with a controller keyboard, ...

How can you say that!? Like others I have the Rack version but have had the classic 61 and 76 - cant fault them, IMO the older ones were better than the newer versions.

I'd like to ask, have you actually ever owned one!?

Yamaha A3000 Disk Problems

Hi all, I have a Yamaha A3000 with the internal hard drive fitted, this started to cause problems when the A3000 failed to load from it. I have since moved from that to an external Zip drive which worked fine, but now the same problem. I have also used the floppy drive aswel but again sometimes it w...

Without a doubt for most gigs just the two, Triton Classic Pro 76 on the bottom, Triton Classic 61 on top. For heavy synth type stuff add an MS2000 / AN1X or Nord lead 2.

Yamaha A3000 Outputs

Hi there,

Are the outputs on the A3000 Balanced, I think not, but can anyone shed some light on this? I do have the output expansion board, not sure if thats any different from the main outs.

Cheers,

Brad.
