You can also add strengthening bars to each tier to take the weight capacity up to 40kg.

Re: akai asq 10 manual? anybody?
Hi guys - can't send it to you without an email. At least I don't think I can. Does anybody know if I can attach docs here?? I don't host anything myself to link to it. It's also a massive file (didn't;t think about that when I selected the highest definition!). I'd about 60mb so will be via wetrans...

This is an old post I know, but hopefully it will appear on search and still be useful.
I have now scanned my original asq10 manual so PM me if needed.

Had a Prodigy & Source (both great) and currently own a reissue MiniMoog D...However, from what I've seen and heard the Grandmother looks a great buy.

Re: Prophet VS v1.2 firmware download
Shalebridge shipped ROM's to me in Liverpool,UK for a very reasonable price a couple of months back - postage probably accounted for most of the price! It's fantastic that somebody is looking at this legacy OS - buy with confidence.

Re: would you trade a juno-106 and korg polysix for a roland
I wouldn't..Not had a Pro Mars but they are supposed to be nice. However based on UK prices (£1000+ each for 106 and Polysix vs £1000-1200 for Promars) I think economically it's a bad deal.

Re: How many oscillators?
I think the best way is to think about how many Oscillators you can control and then times per voice....So yes the OB8 has 16 oscillator chips inside which manifests itself in the architecture as two oscillators x 8 voices.

Re: DW8000 vs EX8000 EPROM compatible?
Not sure if it will make a difference but for clarity the ex8000 isn’t exactly the same....no arp on th ex8000 for example.

Re: Future sequencer replacement - MMT8 to Command Station??
If MMT8's work for you just stock up on spares! I just bought two black ones (last ones) and whilst the price has gone up it's still reasonable (ish)...I have heard people rave about Squarp Pyramids being analogous but I've no first hand experience.

Sounds like a TR808 to me......they used a CR78 on the first album (Night Boat for example) but little evidence of it on Rio.

Re: trimming a keyboard stand?
I trimmed my Jaspers 140-3r to around 100cm using a basic pipecutter...the ones you just rotate around the tube until it cuts through.....worked fine!

Re: Help with Duran Duran's "Rio"
Years later I know but in the interests of anybody with a similar question doing some research.....
The spacey sound is a Jupiter 4 preset 'voice' layered with a synth string pad. As somebody mentioned it is indeed also used via a slow arp on the beginning of 'Nightboat'.
