Re: Setting up synth
You'll need some sort of audio interface to record the sounds. To send and receive MIDI data you'll need a MIDI interface. Some audio interfaces also have MIDI connections.

No, the OB8 is bitimbral. You can only get two different sounds out of it at once.

Re: Peavey Microbass and Grandmother
You probably don't have to worry about damaging the amp, other than you probably don't want to run it with the volume at 10 for long periods of time. How good it will sound is something you won't be able to tell until you try it.

Re: Roland JDXi Question
It's pretty simple. You connect a MIDI cable from the E56's MIDI Out to the JDXi's MIDI In. Chances are both are set by default to MIDI channel one so you won't have to change them. I assume you're already running the JDXi into some sort of amplifier, or are listening to it with headphones.

The "brain" of the Kronos is apparently an Intel Atom D510/D525 1.6 gHz dual core CPU on the original Kronos, and an Atom D2500 1.87 ghz dual core CPU on the Kronos 2, both versions running a heavily modded version of Linux.

John Mills-Cockell went on to form the electronic music group Syrinx. Their song "Tillicum," written as the theme to the CTV network series Here Come the Seventies , was the first electronic music single to break into the top 40 in Canada. It peaked at 38 on the RPM charts in 1971. https://www.youtu...

You'd probably be further ahead asking in your own area, or wherever the festival is being held.

Re: Sound City Phaser Piano... ever seen one?
Sound City were a British brand, owned by Dallas Arbiter. They're best known for their amplifiers, some of the early ones being designed by Hiwatt designer Dave Reeves. I would imagine this piano is probably an Italian import badged as Sound City. Matrixsynth had a post last year about a Sound City ...
