Sound Diver?
Right, so I know that eMagic put out this great little program called Sound Diver... except whenever I look for it I find a 404 page on Apple's Website. Anybody know where I can find this little program, or has it been ditched, in which case are there any other good GUI software interfaces for hardw...

In terms of the car light-bulb trick... the first project I made was a box that plugged in to a wall outlet, had a light-bulb fixture in it and had a plug on the other side. It works just like a breaker, but if I got a short in any project I plug in to the box, and the bulb is the same voltage as th...

I'll have to check when I get home, but I think I have a 3.1 OS. I'll have an audio CD with all the "one shots" of each program along with a text file of the program names ready by Monday, unless you would rather just copy 'em all and send 'em all. Why don't you PM your address and I'll do the same.

I got an EPS with multiple disks too (about 50 or 60), including 3 or 4 different operating system versions. If I could figure out a way to create disk-images to put online I'd be more than happy to share, and would encourage you to do the same. If not, then I'd ask if you're interested in doing a p...

It would be fun to circuit-bend a PS1 since there is a Yamaha FM synthesis chip in those things (the same kind used in various arcade machines of the early/mid 90's). However, it might not be a good idea since you'd have to plug the PS1 in to a wall outlet in order to start bending it, and if someth...

My main volume causes crackle too. I get around this by not adjusting it when I play. I had the same problem with the main outs as well- but I found once I simply stuck a power-bar between my wall outlet and the Juno 60 it solved the problem. I think the 60 is really sensitive about the power it con...

What are you guys busting this guy's balls for? There is a free version of Pro Tools available!
Check it out here. Please note, by the way, the download link goes to Digidesign's website, so I think it's pretty legit.
EDIT: My bad. It appears Digidesign no longer offers Pro Tools Free.

Hey now, I have an Atari ST and I don't use it for MIDI sequencing (gaming, actually). My use of my PC never pushes it the point where it would be an issue, at least to my ears (and that's all that counts). I didn't completely ignore your points about MIDI-timestamping, hence my statement " Modern P...

Yes, that seems to make sense... except it's completely wrong. Graphic code/routines between a Sega Genesis and a new PC has changed greatly over the years. MIDI hasn't really changed at all since it was first created. Modern PC's more than make for this- most of the time. The Atari ST on the other ...

Well, it's been explained to me quite differently. For example, if I run Cubase through my MOTU MIDI interfece the whole rig is relying on the software code in Cubase for timing. This code is subject to the will of the CPU in my computer, which (given that it's running WinXP especially, but all OS's...
