Re: Why doesn't Yamaha creates a new VP1?
OASYS/Kronos STR-1 is an excellent polyphonic plucked-string virtual acoustic model. It really is flexible because of the depth of editing and the over all voice architecture - so even its factory presets including guitars, bass guitars, acoustic basses, clavs, harps, harpsichords - and even electri...

Re: Korg Opsix
Im an SY77 and SY99 'nut', and also love MOD-7 on the OASYS thought still don't understand it fully. Some quick thoughts on the Opsix: It is great, sounds fantastic, and does offer a whole new approach to using FM synthesis. But - (there's always a 'but') - coming from the SY world - AFM synthesis w...

Thomas this is incredible that you can provide this library - thanks a million. I've been chasing this for many a year.
Your web site is fantastic by the way - I'll be calling back over to it to read some of you fascinating posts in more detail.
Thanks!!
Kevin.

Re: Synthesizers with awesome arpeggiators
I think I cut and pasted that entire SOS thread into a word document somewhere - must look for it. I did that because (Bill Marshall?) the creator of the Zyklus got chatting to Stephen Kay over that thread where they were considering how what you'd get if you passed Zyklus realtime sequences into t...

Buying upgrade Eproms - is this seller OK?
I wonder if anyone has bought Eproms from this ebay seller? I've bought a number of stitches, keys, fader caps form them and find them very reliable over all, but am aware that often buying upgrade Eproms can lead to more trouble that it's worth. This seller has dozens of them, and at least a dozen ...

Re: Synthesizers with awesome arpeggiators
That's funny, I thought we had discussed it before! Episodic memory- totally unreliable  They usually go for around €300. I believe there was some connection between the developer of the Cyclone and the Zyklus. The guy told the whole story on the Sound on Sound forum many years ago, but that g...

Re: Synthesizers with awesome arpeggiators
Brilliant!
Lots of interesting ideas arising - inadvertently !
Never even heard of the Oberheim Cyclone before - but when Googled it - there's one on sale right now on the the Spheremusic auction to end next Saturday!

Re: Synthesizers with awesome arpeggiators
Hmm, reading your description again, I think the Cyclone can do this. I might actually sit down with the manual again. That thing is a bear to program, worse than an Ensoniq Mirage. Currently my box is a Drummer, not a Cyclone. Give me some time  If you mean the Bass-Bot TT-303 - I downloaded ...

Re: Looking for Casiotone CT202 Manual
This was the closest I found, but it seems all his manuals are offline (probably when Dropbox changed all their links) - might be worth telling him and he can fix it... https://generror.wordpress.com/2010/07/04/casio-keyboard-manuals/ No 202, but 102, and 201 are there... Thanks a million for looki...

Re: Looking for Casiotone CT202 Manual
Not a single Casio 202 manual to be found on the Web. It's almost worth it - to have found a search term that provides no web links whatsoever!
. I've just found the 'end' of the Web!

Re: Synthesizers with awesome arpeggiators
That sounds really cool. I know you like this aspect of things - it's the quirky aspect to it that it's not supposed to do that make it really good. It's a CASIO - but I kid you not - put through an excellent reverb and it can sound like a PPG. No exaggerating!. It was just a clever little instrume...

Re: Synthesizers with awesome arpeggiators
Casiotone 1000P - an amazing arpeggiator / sequencer and to my knowledge, utterly unique to this day. You type in digits between 0 and 9 - up to 256 steps. Then, whatever pattern you hold down on the keyboard, it plays those notes back in the 'digit entered' order. The powerful aspect to it - it alw...

Re: Yo! Whats up with Behringer Synths not being featured on the site????
Maybe I'm biased because I own the Model D , Neutron , K-2 , Pro-1 , Wasp , MS-1, Odyssey , Crave and TD-3 but Behringer's synths are DOPE and I don't understand why this site don't have a Behringer section. What's up with that? What are you talking about - you'll find they've ALL been discussed ov...
