I've heard great things about these 808 samples as well: http://www.goldbaby.co.nz/tape808.html Never actually used them as I have an 808 already but if I ever decided i no longer wanted mine, would definititley make a kit w the samples for my MD UW MKII. Would probably run em through my api's for l...

I use a Machine Drum UW MKII for composing most of my drum tracks. I use it along with a jomox airbase, and soft synths such as attck and Battery. We also have a Korg ESX-1, an ER-1, and a TR-808 at our studio. It's an incredibly inspiring instrument to use but It can be a chalenge not to over use i...

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at what that board can do for your current setup. It does great pads, leads, and the arpeggiator rocks too! It's argueably one of the best of the Roland synths, I highly reccomend getting the Europa mod however. It opens up a whole new world of possibilities wi...

Love mine as well. I had it Europa'd last sept. The learning curve on the different multimodes in the Europa is kinda steep so I still refer to the manual constantly. I admit mine has not been getting used as much latley as I work more at home now than at the studio but I'd never sell it even if I d...

Arp 2600 repair

Anyone know of a good, experienced, tech in the States that works on 2600's? We've got a 2600p at the studio that needs some work. The filter and the envelope is intermittent. Been trying to get a hold of CMS for a couple weeks without any response so I thought i'd ask here.
Thanks!

Waldorf Attack has a decent emulation of the simmons drum synths but as far as a dedicated emulation none come to mind. Maybe someone has made one in Reaktor?

DSI Poly Evolver Rack

Anyone use one of these? I've been wanting a poly evolver but aside from the price constraints space is becoming an issue at my studio and on stage. Of course I'd rather have the keyboard version but I've had some good experiences mapping my novation remote 61 sl to various rack synths. I've been tr...
