Re: MOOG sticker for Polymoog

You can still purchase the same reflective sticker from Moog. I'm not sure about the dimensions but give them a call to find out. I bought one about 6 months ago.

Re: Keys stick after replacing bushings (pratt-read)

Hey Kronic that did it. After removing the keys I saw that the lube that came on the bushings was very thin as recommended earlier but that didn't work. Maybe a difference between the all plastic key vs. the metal and keytop version. Anyhoo I didn't use a spray. I used some DC7 lube that the coat on...

Kronik wrote:I had a similar problem after I installed my bushes... I took them all off, cleaned them and used a light silicone spray on the bushes and the plastic "rectangle" on the key where the bushes make contact. Made the world of difference.
Thanks! I'll be working on this over the weekend

Re: Arp Odyssey Restoration

Wow, what a beaut, congrats. Did a similar restoration to my MKII after that Lightner vid made the rounds, and it basically made the synth playable (& lovable) again. Only recommendation I'd have would be to do a final rinse with deionized water after using tap water. Thanks! I like what you did wi...

Re: Keys stick after replacing bushings (pratt-read)

As it is now there is only a thin film. I ordered more just in case but have not applied it. I'll try to wipe some off as it is now and see if that helps. Thanks

Keys stick after replacing bushings (pratt-read)

So I just replaced the bushings in an Arp Odyssey. This Pratt keybead is different from my minimoog. There is no metal frame with a keycap. This one has keys made entirely of plastic. So I removed all keys and replaced the bushings. The bushings were coated in Dow Corning 7 lube as recommended. Prob...

Re: Arp Odyssey Restoration

Nice thread, pictures, and video. Thanks for posting them. In picture #4, it looks like you've applied some soapy stuff to your control panel. What is it? And how long did you soak it like that? Aaron That's just windex. I let it soak about a minute before wiping it off. Come over to restore my Rol...

Re: Arp Odyssey Restoration

Everything is laid out well in this thread: http://www.gearslutz.com/board/electronic-music-instruments-electronic-music-production/513640-bathing-your-arp-odyssey-water.html I don't have a water softener but I got the boards dry so quick it wasn't an issue. I do highly recommend making sure you do ...

Re: Arp Odyssey Restoration

Pretty brave. Saw a direct and rather heavy downpour of water and :o . How did you ensure 100% there was no water residual in the sliders or switches (or anywhere else for that matter)? What did you soak the boards in? It actually looks like it was in quite nice shape before you began cleaning it u...

Arp Odyssey Restoration

Got this thing from analoglsd last Friday and finished it up last night. I replaced all the capacitors, soaked and rinsed all the boards, cleaned the case, cleaned and lubed all switches and sliders, rebuilt the power supply and replaced all the old key bushings. Here are photos from the day I got i...
