Re: MPC 500 Field Recording?
Anybody doing this? Seems like a logical use for a portable battery powered sampler. I know from other forums that some people do use the SP404 in this role. I want to get out and do some field recording and I was thinking of using my RZ55 MD Recorder, tidying the samples up with software and dumpi...

I remember seeing SPK on The Tube in the early 80's. Mental stuff I was sure someone was going to get hit with that angle grinder. Graeme Revell did very well for himself.. http://www.graemerevell.com/ Look at all the cool films he has worked on and he actually married SPK's lead singer Sinan ...

You may find that you like the E-mu sequencer, but it is sort of limited. If it's like the E4K's sequencer (and it must be), I'll second that. And sequences aren't editable. I record my sequences in Cubase, save them as MIDI files and play them from the E-mu. Incidentally, the beauty of the E-mu's ...

No, it wouldn't be redundant. I don't use the sequencer on any of my E-mus because it is not nearly as sophisticated as the MPC sequencer and likewise the MPC sampler is not as sophisticated as an E-mu sampler. There is very little overlap between them. You may find that you like the E-mu sequencer...

Emu E6400 Ultra, built in sequencer any good?
I have been doing a lot of research to try and find the right rack sampler for my needs and the Emu seems to fit the bill nicely. I was planning to buy an MPC 1000 for drum sampling and also use it to sequence the Emu. However I believe the Emu has it's own 48 track sequencer built in and I was wond...

so, Korg didn't release a CF-compitable electribe/groovebox at all? shame, since the electribe line could well sell like hot cakes if memory was upgraded to 2008 standards... Agreed, I have been waiting for an Electribe with a better memory format and a USB connection for over 2 years now! Well I a...

If it was me I would sell the ER1 and buy an ES1 so that I had the EA1/ES1 combo OR I would sell the EA1 and the ER1 and buy an ESX. With all the circuit bent thingammy's you have at the bottom of your profile you could get some great sounds into an ESX plus you get the extra FX and a really cool in...
