Was this a good deal? Hohner Clavinet Duo
Hello again. Some of you know I've been trying to get a Clavinet for a while now. Yesterday someone posted a Clavinet/Pianet duo yesterday to my local craigslist for a grand. I drove an hour to check it out and left 950 dollars lighter but with the keyboard. This was all done in haste, I know Clavin...

Re: Mopho's sweet n' round sound?
Haha! That's awesome! Reminds me of Jean-Jacques Perrey. Is that your intention? Yeah, the original idea was 'what if JJP or d**k Hyman had cut a record for Stax in 1968?'. The two major problems being that a. I have 1% of the technique and facility of a real keyboard player (I'm a saxophonist by t...

Re: Mopho's sweet n' round sound?
Screw the lead, how did you get that overdriven organ sound? It's too groovy. :) Hah! Its my RMI being played through an old Fender Musicmaster bass combo amp with the gain and tone cranked up. The slapback is courtesy of a Roland SDE-3000. Here's another track that I did with the Mopho: http://sou...

Re: DSI MoPho
I've been surprised with how easy it is to program it with just the hardware. The menu is laid out logically enough that you can fly right through it to the parameter you need. That said I don't think the CC implementation is robust enough to really be a performance synth. I had the same problem wit...

Re: DSI MoPho
I love the little yellow guy. Here's a little bounce from a recording I was working on this weekend. this is completely raw and unmixed. I left my RMI 600 and a clap track on this for just a bit of context.

Re: S-900 audio glitches
Replace the ram or the unit? Is the ram even swappable on these? If so does anyone know the spec?

S-900 audio glitches
I picked up a S900 off of eBay for nothing. Surprisingly, it arrived in working order. I've noticed that If i try to record longer samples, say 3-4 seconds, I tend to get really noticeable digital glitches (short bursts of noise). I'm curious if other owners/users have this problem with their units....

Yeah, I've seen the Solovox can be had pretty cheaply on El 'Bay. Is the Clavioline mono too? "Baby you're a Rich Man" definitely sounds as if it were only able to produce a single note, though the various Meek recordings sound as if the instrument can produce polyphonic sound. Maybe I'm listening t...

Do these ever come up for sale? Can anyone give any names of similar products? I know Hammond marketed a similar unit.
I'm going through a particularly ugly Joe Meek obsession and I NEED to add one to my M3.

Micro-Q questions
Just three general quickies: Does the Micro-Q suffer from the same stepping problems the Pulse does when using an external controller to adjust the filter cutoff or pitch bend. I just sold my Pulse because of this. Secondly, can you edit an instruments parameters while the Micro-Q is in multi mode? ...
