Re: VSE - Good trader/seller thread

Bought an MPC 1000 from supermel74. Excellent transaction. Made the deal on Friday and had the unit on Monday. No surprises.

Would deal with again in a second!

Re: VSE - Good trader/seller thread

Had a great transaction with "Perfectdefect". He conducted very thorough tests, provided a mountain of photos, and even did video demonstration. When it came time to put the board in the mail it was here the next day. Very pleased. A+!

Re: Novation Bass Station Nightmare

Hi, Which pots are they? Maybe I can help. From your initial description, it just seemed like dirty/dusty pots. A replacement should have fixed that. Have you got specific information about what was removed, and what new parts were fitted? Have you still got the old parts? Hey Oli thanks for the re...

Re: Novation Bass Station Nightmare

Yeah they are entirely new pots, his prognosis when I brought it in was that he pots would have to be replaced. I made some pretty bad choices, one being that he wanted as little of the machine as possible, so I only left him with he front half with the controller circuit board. So I payed him, brou...

Novation Bass Station Nightmare

When I got this synth it work great except for two pots that were crapped up and causing a strange sort of rapid tremolo effect, which would disappear with a bit of gentle pressure exerted on the crappy controls and then it operated beautifully. This lead to a month or so of playing it with taped up...

Just completed a very successful trade with "b05q" aka "doctor slam". Careful packer and good communication.

I can only assume it is as versatile as the user, so it certainly can have it's place as in rock:

Awesome video pix, way more illustrative of the cool things the MD can do than any of the stuff on Youtube. I think you made the right choice.

@sacredcow: with my personal experience with an es-1 I found that it coloured the samples quite a bit. I agree with this statement regarding the ES-1 and it is actually one of the reasons I traded mine to you Sacredcow. That being said, the ES-1's interface is great and you can get some great drums...
