Re: Korg MS-20 Mini

If you're in the US, call GC and ask if they got one. I called yesterday and picked one up. Wasn't on a list either.

Re: How many of you still have your first synth?

E-MU Emulator Three. Twenty two years later, still very much in love with it. Sampler yes, very much a Synth when processing and the analog filters are timeless.

Re: Human League "Human" sound

I'd bet it came from an OB-8. Terry and Jimmy used those synths a lot, and still do. I got a call last fall that their OB-8's might not make it into town in time for sound check (The Time) and they need an OB-8. I would have but DR. Fink from the Revolution was borrowing my OB-8 case, funny. That so...

Re: Juno 106 blue led / wood sides modification

Allen is a pretty cool cat. He might be able to point you somewhere. He even came down to Chicago a few weeks ago to pick up three 106's from me. I'm just getting them overhauled, nothing fancy. He knows 60's and 106's very well. I had no idea there were 3 different versions of the 106 inside. http:...

Re: Help me find a hardware sampler!

V-Synth! We own all kinds of samplers, EIII,EII, E4 Platinum, MPC 2000XL,3000,1000 and a V-Synth XT. Just a few months ago picked up a V-Synth keyboard for $600 and really looked at it more of a sampler we could "play" live. I must say that the V-Synth is such a great sampler for the money these day...

Simmons SDX

I just got one and it went straight to my repair guy. It seems fine, but we always get our new vintage gear looked over by a pro. It was a gift from my lady too. There isn't too much out there on this machine. It didn't come with pads, I just love samplers. We have two EIII's so it seemed like this ...

Re: Emu Emulator II Sounds (Demos) Seeking trades.

We have a couple EII's and loads of disks. I'll have to get them out and have a look. Someone else asked for Vermona DRM1 MKIII samples for the EII if that's something you might like.

Re: Prophet 08 knob question

I just got a '08 and yes, the PE knobs feel solid and make this board all around "tight". I can't wait to drop red wheels (pitch/mod) in this baby. I tried to upload a pic of it with it's family (Prophet 5 Rev. 2, Prophet 600, Prophet VS, Split8, PolyEvolver) , but no go.

What's a Prophet VS worth?

I have a chance to trade for one. I see these don't come up for sale often. I offered one of my Polyevolver boards, not interested. He liked the PEK, but he gigs a lot and it's not built for the road. This VS was once owned by Dr. Fink( from the Revolution). This board is in mint shape and comes wit...

I have three of them. They are good (DSI) when it comes to questions. I've had no issues with mine. I have an early numbered one too. Get me their numbers and PM me.

Re: Esi-32: compatible with Esi2000?

Yes, that unit has effects. If it has S/PDIF, the effects are on that unit as well. It's all on the same "upgrade" from E-MU. Zip drives in the ESI's are a mess. Stick with an external. I put a 9 gig card reader in my ESI's.

Re: Esi-32: compatible with Esi2000?

Like Mad said yes. I own both that are the Turbo versions. I was making Zip disks for a pal (owns a 4000) and call me crazy, the ESI 32 sounded "warmer". The effects were off on both units as well. I know E-MU were always changing processors in the sampler lines. Not important, just a geek moment. E...
