Re: Prophet 5 to Prophet 600 Comparison?
Maybe you should post a patch sheet or two and have P600 and P5 owners send you recordings of the same patch being played on both synths. I'd be happy to patch up my P600 for that and post the results. Any P5 owners game? I'm curious as to how my Pro-8 compares also... post a patch sheet and i'll d...

Novation Supernova vs supernova 2...
Ok, so technically the topic could go in the shootout section, but this isn't a which is better topic... I've had a supernova 2 for years and now have a chance to pickup the original for a decentish price. i'm curious as to what are the differences between the 2 racks apart from polyphony and the ex...

MKS-80 Dual Mode
Hi, is it possible to play the MKS-80 as 2 independant modules on different MIDI channels? I have set the MKS to dual mode and the patch midi channel is set to 14. If i play a note on channel 14 I get both modules playing simutaneously out of 2 separate audio outs.what I want to get is the upper ton...

Re: Synth power buzz
Update:
so i got a Maplin converter off a guy in work that converts 220 -> 110v...my synth requires 100v though but he reckons he runs all his japan import consoles using this with no problems....
anyone know about this? would it be safe to run my synth using this box?

Synth power buzz
Hi, there's a mad buzz coming from my Japanese import SCi synth. I think it's coming from the power supply due to the crappy transformer that came with it.
Anyone have similar problems due to using foreign voltage synths in the UK? can anyone recommend a decent power transformer 200v -> 100v?
Ta

8 synth outputs -> Alesis AI3 ADAT interface -> ADAT in on soundcard. 2 synth outputs -> analogue ins on soundcard. everything is routed to software mixer where effects etc are applied and then sent as separate tracks into ASIO/cubase. i use a patch bay if i want to change hardware routing so the mo...

I've got the Pro-8 which is the same synth i think... I use it as a pad machine, envelopes aren't too fast on it. it's one osc per voice but you can mix 3 different waveforms which is kinda cool. the filter steps which a bit of a shame but sounds nice enough. fairly thin sounding synth but quite wa...
