Re: Is it FATAL ??? My Akai AX 60 ... plugged in with plug conv

if anyone would like i could post a youtube of the thing in action as there does not seem to be many vids ive been able to find... Please do. Demos are always fun :D Also is yours a bit noisy even without chorus? I think the filter distorts to easily. I tend to turn off noise and then fade down the...

Re: Akai AX80 Preset Casette Needed PLEASE

Thanks! Yes I understand they may be altered patches. Could you tell me if its normal that the cutoff can't be adjusted in real time? I have to retrigger the note to hear it. I was looking for a pdf version of the service manual, but thanks anyway :D EDIT: I have found out that its normal for the cu...

Re: Akai AX80 Preset Casette Needed PLEASE

Sure if you can upload it as a .wav? Also since im in this tread I want to ask: Is it normal that the only freaking parameter you can't control real time is the cut-off? Anyone have the service manual? The seller had it, I payed a very high price for the synth and he still wouldn't want to me have i...

Re: 80017a repair (not replace, repair)

It works in about 60 percent of chips, but sometimes only for a period. It is certainly worth trying if your synth is not "mission critical", ie: you aren't using it on stage. To make the repair complete you need to address the jump track problem and the metal migration problem and a couple of othe...

Re: Alpha Juno Battery Help

Hi lostyetfound

So close, yet so far...aghh  Glad you found the solution :D BTW If you don't already have something to program the synth with, you should look into the BCR-2000. Cheers!

Re: Alpha Juno Battery Help

Hi lostyetfound I found this on the yahoo user group: " After battery replaced, should do the following: 1. Power off 2. Set protect to off 3. Power on while holding down Portamento and Data Transfer This resets the RAM and solve the Check Battery problem. " - from txt in the files folder uploaded b...

Re: Akai AX60 schematics / service manual needed

Hi DisasterArea I appreciate your answer. I already have the sixtrak service manual from analoghell knowing its the same chips but I have only look briefly in it. Also problem has been solved. Still if anybody has relevant documentation, please step forward. Cheers! EDIT: To anyone curious, this was...

Akai AX60 schematics / service manual needed

What's up, guys :D So I have been lurking around the fora for a while, never really contributed with much, but I'm hoping someone will help me anyway. I have a ax60 in need of service, but I can't seem to find any documents on it besides the user manual and some expensive hard copies of the service ...

Re: Calling all Prophet 08 owners!

I wish one could control osc volumes indepently from each other, cus I like the cleaner sound aswell. If both oscillators are active you can adjust the mix level via VCA-envelope amount. Wow thanks, gotta try that when I get home, I thought osc1+osc2=100% when both are on no matter what. And topolo...

Re: Calling all Prophet 08 owners!

There is a very slight saturation in the P'08 at high osc levels, but not comparable to what happens in the Pulse for example. That's what I'm after thank you. I can confirm this as well. If you for example turn of osc 2 and use the mixerknob to control the volume of osc 1 the filter changes...
