Is there a Roland CR-5000 Sync Mod?

Anyone know if it's possible to mod a CR-5000 to sync up to other things? Is the circuit board similar to the CR-8000? I stumbled open this link and it looks like someone has added din-sync.... http://matrixsynth.blogspot.com/2007/10/modded-roland-cr5000.html At a guess it's like the CR-8000 but jus...

TR-808 MIDI Retrofit

Who out there has an 808 w/MIDI retrofit installed? What do you have and how did it work out for you? I've got both a 606 and an 808 which I've had the Analogue Solutions kits installed in. Unfortunately they just aren't quite right. They change the original sound so that it sounds like it's slightl...

Glitch Drums - FM Synths

I've been using a Yamaha TX802 for glitch percussive/clangy/drone sounds and it's fantastic. I'm looking for a similar FM machine, something that has some hands on knobs for editing the sounds and perhaps something that allows you to organise those sounds into a drum map. I was thinking about the Wa...

Waldorf MicroQ Rack Synth - good for glitch drums?

I've been using a Yamaha TX802 FM Tone Generator pretty much as a glitch drumkit module. Which is working out great except I have to edit everything via software. I'm looking for something with some hands on knobish action and I'm wondering whether the Waldorf MicroQ Rack Synth would be good to use ...

Wood panels! Now you're talking. Maybe a short scale version that looks like a Minimoog and a longer one that looks like a Prophet-5.

Sexy Midi Controller Keyboards

Anyone know of any good looking MIDI controller keyboards?

I'd love to get something that looks like the memotron but with a full set of keys. Big white shiny sexy box. Yeah!

It looks like I may have to purchase bits and pieces off doepfer and make my own.

Basic MIDI controller keyboard that does Splits/Layers/Zones

Anyone know of a nice Basic MIDI controller keyboard that does Splits/Layers/Zones? I've been loving the m-Audio Keystation 49e for a while now, just cause it's so gosh darn plain and simple. Would look better in black with wooden side panels though! ;) Why aren't there any nicely designed MIDI cont...

Siel EX-600 Expander & Sinclair Spectrum

*bump*

Wow, neat, you could get an editor for the Siel Ex-600 on the Sinclair Spectrum in 1984!

I don't even know what a "Sinclair Spectrum" is but it looks pretty damn cool!

Siel EX-600 Expander

Just wondering if there's any other users out there who have a Siel EX-600 Expander and if anyone has any info on editing via sysex. I managed to find a sysex document on http://home.tiscali.nl/~smeyer/siel/ . Would be wonderful if someone can help me to translate this into some usable sysex strings.

What synths have "Chord Memory/Stack"

I've fallen in love with the MKS-50's chord memory feature.

Does anyone know of any other synths out there which have this kind of feature. Just did a quick search and a Nord Lead 3 came up... any others?

Does anyone know of a good DX7 (or more specifically a TX802) editor for MAC?

Or how I could get DX7 Librarian, which it sez is for "Macintosh PowerPC System7" to work on OSX 10.4.9?

Thanks

Thanks for your quick responses guys. I was more so wondering if there's switches inside the units that switch the voltage over? I picked up a Pro-One and Prophet-600 which have voltage switches on the back, nice and easy! We just opened up an Oberheim DX the other day and discovered that it had a v...
