Re: What was the cheapest Synth you ever bought?

EDP Wasp for £40 in 1981,EDP Spider sequencer for another £40 in 1981,which was cheap then, and a Korg MS10 and a Korg Microkorg for £250 the pair a few years ago.The guy threw in a Casio CZ 1000 forfree and seemed to think he got the best part of the deal.

2.Paramecium.

3.SH 101 and Yamaha GX 80. Strap that on and walk around with it...

I'm far from an expert, but in my experience a dodgy volume pot would usually make at least some spluttery noises.Have you checked the physical connections to the outputs? You could always contact Novation directly.

Bare bones 303,consider the MAM MB 33.If they're still in business, their website vanished a while ago.

You serious? since when did the S612 exceed the price of an S2000? Thats a first to me I bought mine for 65 dollars with the MD280 drive, which doesn't work, but still, for what it does, its well worth the money if your looking for that dirty 12 bit sound. Yes,I'm serious.S612's have been rising in...

"Best sounding" is subjective, one person's idea of best can be totally different to anothers. And the 612 isn't as cheap as the 2000.

Some of the cheaper stage monitors would have 1/4" plugs.Speakons are indeed now the industry standard, largely because they are so much better than 1/4" stuff. Also bear in mind that 1/4" jacks aren't really much use for higher wattage outputs, they tend to overheat.
