Re: Help with MIDI

You should put all these instruments to a different MIDI channel.
That way the control changes (turning knobs etc.) won't affect the other instruments.

Tempo sync doesn't use a channel so that would still affect all instruments.

Re: Roland d20

You could try the diagnostic mode to find out what the problem is.
See the video at this address: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xd9chj

Maybe the battery needs to be replaced.

Re: MIDI DIP Switch Settings for MFB Synth Lite?

I found this on the net, https://www.sequencer.de/mfb/mfbsynthlite.html .

Now: Prophet~6 €3099, OB-6 €2555
A while back: OB-6 €2644, Prophet~6 €2333

With 16 voices, when a next key is pressed, the running EG would complete its stages and the EG of the next voice that is triggered by that key would start from zero. No retriggering unless all voices are exhausted?

Re: help me!!!!

Inserting an empty measure at the start of the sequence where the program changes can take place is a traditional solution for the problem you're describing.
That way the synth has time to set up itself without notes playing.

No, Yamaha expects you to reboot every time you put in another floppy drive, which is fair.

Re: Universal Adapter Key / Tool out there?

I guess 100mA is plenty of current for a simple MIDI to CV converter. That Pittsburgh Modular eurorack MIDI to CV converter you were looking at only uses 40mA. And as that 40mA coverter can used with big power supplies that come with big eurorack cases, typically 2A or more, it's not a problem to us...

Re: Looking for synth recommendations

Then again, the AN1x fails on the full size keyboard. Good God in Heaven. Are you serious right now? Yes, quite serious. How are they not full size keys? Well, they're a little bit smaller. You won't notice it on first sight. Are they one millimeter narrower than the keys on your piano? Roughly yes...

Re: Looking for synth recommendations

Sure, I admit it's nitpicking, and most people would not notice or not bother. Some people even prefer it as they have a greater reach and can play faster. Personally I think it is one of the few 'cons' of the AN1x. Although it's only one white key width less on 5 octaves C-C compared to my standard...

No, it does not. It has 61 semi-weighted full-size keys.

Re: A question about midi through and usb

That would be the MIDI merge USB in function. From the manual: The fifth page of the MIDI Setup menu allows you to select the routing of the MIDI Merge function for the USB input. When MIDI Merge is ON, the LP will echo all MIDI data received at the USB MIDI Input port to the selected MIDI Output po...
