Re: "new" Yamaha DX7 II keys don't work, but external midi will trigger sounds

There's a setting called Local On/Off. If it is set to off then the keyboard would trigger any notes.
It could be as simple as that.

Re: What is close to ARP PRO SOLOIST sounds.

My KARP Odyssey Module recognizes pitch bend over MIDI.
Not sure about the other models though.

Re: changing sustain pedal polarity

Let me try again, now for sustain pedal i.s.o. expression pedal. 1. This probably won't work, but always worth a try: Power up the keyboard with the sustain pedal pressed down. This works on some keyboards, but the DW-8000 might be to old. 2. I used to have a couple of cheap sustain switches (Roland...

Re: changing sustain pedal polarity

That could also be one, but would require a cable with a female connector on one end as the pedal already has the male connector. One Hosa YPR-257 ($5.45)* and one Hosa GPR-484 ($3.70)* would do the trick, does not require any extra work and can be used for other stuff and out of the box tricks. *) ...

Re: changing sustain pedal polarity

Two converter cables. 1. female 1/4" TRS to 2x RCA male (red and white) 2. female 1/4" TRS to 2x RCA female (red and white) Connect the RCA ends, male red to female red and male white to female white = normal polarity. Male red to female white and male white to female red = reversed polarity. Tidda ...

Re: Korg PA4X without aftertouch

CC#11 is expression (volume) usually controlled by a pedal. Not sure why it keeps sending a value, it should only change when the pedal is moved. That is when the pedal is assigned to CC#11 of course. Anyway, nothing to do with aftertouch. Aftertouch is not one of the CC#, it is a channel voice mess...

Re: Jasper 5 / 6 tier keyboard stands, any good?

Hi, I have a 3 tier stand from them, the 3S-150XLS. The tiers you are referring to can have up to 15 kg. Heaviest keyboard I had on these tiers was a Kurzweil PC3LE6 at 14 kg without any problem. A D-50 is only 10.7 kg so I wouldn't worry about that. If you would put force on the holders, they would...

Re: Help with MIDI

You should put all these instruments to a different MIDI channel.
That way the control changes (turning knobs etc.) won't affect the other instruments.

Tempo sync doesn't use a channel so that would still affect all instruments.

Re: Roland d20

You could try the diagnostic mode to find out what the problem is.
See the video at this address: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xd9chj

Maybe the battery needs to be replaced.

Re: MIDI DIP Switch Settings for MFB Synth Lite?

I found this on the net, https://www.sequencer.de/mfb/mfbsynthlite.html .

More than €500 difference. Very strange.
Funny thing is, a while back it was the other way around:
Now: Prophet~6 €3099, OB-6 €2555
A while back: OB-6 €2644, Prophet~6 €2333

With 16 voices, when a next key is pressed, the running EG would complete its stages and the EG of the next voice that is triggered by that key would start from zero. No retriggering unless all voices are exhausted?
