Re: Are people still using Hardare Samplers?

Now is really a great to get into to hardware samplers. They seem to be getting cheaper by the week. The SP line from Roland are all pretty good for starters. The 303, 404, and 555 don't even have menus. Everything is accessed via simple button sequences and combinations. I use a Boss SP-303 now, th...

Re: boss sp.303 sampler memory

If I remember correctly 64mb is the largest card the SP-303 can read/write to. You can't find the 3 volt cards very cheap anymore. Even the cheap ones are expensive compared to sd and cf cards. The xd adapter is likely your best bet.

Why not just add a media card drive to your 2000?

Another vote for the SP-404 here. I LOVE mine. Everything they said is true. Super easy to use and lots of fx with plenty of live control.

My first track posted here

As the title says I don't think I've actually ever posted any music here. So here's a little ditty I made a little while ago with a video. I'm no video producer by any means so don't expect the greatest, I think it fits the song nicely. Enjoy.

MOOG Prodigy

ACCESS VIRUS C Indigo 2

All way out of my grasp but damn they are quite nice. If you hadn't noticed I like the smaller form factors.

I can deal with 16 steps as long I can chain the patterns together without the sequencer dropping out everything on the first note.

Ok so it only drops out on the synth track? If that's true I can deal with that. I just didn't want everything to go silent for a beat then jump back in full on. I make all kinds of stuff, more hiphop/triphop oriented these days but I do industrial and whatever else I feel like messin around with at...

Yamaha AN-200 Sequencer bug.

So I'm reading up on the AN-200 (was offered one as a trade). Found out it supposedly has a bug in the sequencer. When switching patterns it's said that it drops the first note of the pattern. Have any of you experienced this? If so what are the specifics? Does it do it every time you switch from on...

Looks like it would make a great first piece of gear. A sampler, rudimentary synth, usb audio interface/midi controller, sequencer in one (relatively) inexpensive unit. That is assuming everything works at least half as well as it's supposed to. I'd like to have one myself but I'm still working towa...

Tyler2000 good for business was even patient enough to wait a bit longer than projected due to some trouble on my end. Highly recommended.
